Only real problem I had was getting the top hats of the suspension so drove the car down to the local tyre shop and had them gunned off in a few seconds :) even inner ARB bushed weren't too bad once the car was jacked up high enough and a couple of decent pry bars used.
Car looked great at the show mate :)
And you will love the new front suspension refurb - did it on my last RB and it drove like a brand new car after :)
Only took a couple and had to have a photo of this beauty:
Obviously owned by this guy:
But seriously this got my vote and spurred me on to get mine finished:
Many thanks mate:) yes all good but a lot of sleepless nights currently :(
Yes R26 taken to the local Thoresby Car Show today with the family of 4, a pram/push chair, a sun tent, 4 folding chairs, picnic, various bags oh and an alloy wheel with tyre, lol.
Hi Paul, great to see you yesterday mate and your car really was looking nice mate. Thanks for the King comments about the vee :) it was really nice to actually get out in it again as it a very rare occasions actually driving it these days.
Thanks Steve mate.
Thanks Chris mate, very kind words...
Yes of course you do, even if it's just to check it drives ok.
I am on my third 200 now. First car was an immaculate Alien Green but in comparison to my 182 it felt like I had to ring it's neck every time I wanted it to go fast, second car was a project liquid yellow that I bought to do a meggy...
Very common issue unfortunately :( and yes sensors get water damaged. You could try spraying wd40 inside the door panel onto the workings of the door parts - nothing to lose after all.
Saw that on eBay - looks great and st a great price :) have you a photo of the body panels issues you have?
Pictures of Renault 5 Gt Turbo mate please
That's a shame mate as I really liked this car and you had put so more time and money in it! I also remember you saying how much the full respray was!
And totally understand about life getting in the way - same story with my 5 turbo.
