Yes.. or atleast that’s what I did
Aren’t there 2 levels of sky q? Think I have silver which came with the free mini box when I had it installed.. don’t know if they work differently, worth a call/online chat
I have a sky q mini box in my kitchen and snug. £99 one off fee (per box, we got one free with Sky q) means I can access everything that’s recorded on my main box and watch different stuff to the main telly
Never understood why you would pay £10 a month forever when you can just pay the £99 one...
Have you turned off the standby/eco mode we have talked about previously? This fixed our mini problem.
We have sky broadband, and the engineer did say that if we moved away from sky we might have issues connecting to someone else's box, though I guess it's just scare tacktics, their box would...
So if I put my box into standby mode myself, will that have the same effect as that eco standby? Ie do I need to have my sky box 'on' all the time @eugegall
If I haven't turned it on in 24 hours the box either won't power on, or does this..
And it won't respond, so I have to hard power it off in both instances
Lol we had a slight issue when transferring programmes to our ipad through no fault of skys..
Everything we watch/download is in HD, and our Ipad is only 16GB - after 2 programmes it was full lol
Had to download everything in low quality, which you don't really notice the quality difference...
I use maps quite a lot and was reading all your comments yesterday about the parked car feature.
Then when I got home my phone notified me about where my car was parked lol - other half mentioned something interesting though.. what happens in a multi story car park
I'm not running a cable from one side of the house to the other for the sake to turning it on/off once a week lol.
The sky man gave us a booster box but that hasn't made any difference. The boxes aren't to far away from one another but there are several walls in the way
We've had SKYQ for a few months now, the worst thing about it is the mini box, constantly crashing and needing to be turned on/off - other than that.. when its working its fantastic.
Although.. not having 'favorites' drives me mad as I don't know the channel numbers and im constantly having to...
He's a member on here, just hasn't posted in ages... he's seen your thread on the car
But weirdly half recognised the plate as you went past (and knowing you're sometimes in Watford guessed!)
I'm sure (if I'm understanding you right) that Computer 1 is the current journey (so will reset after you leave the car) whereas Computer 2 is for the full tank of fuel (or for as long as you leave it before manually resetting)
@Daniel - is this still your 'go to' product for odour removal in a car?
Will use it on my Dads car to try get the smokey smell out if so (or if you now know of something else I'll get that)
