Been slightly slacking lately due to doing the garden work at my house, but now its done its time to crack on again.
So a whole load of parts have arrived at mine and its getting me more and more excited!!
So the jenvy bodies turn up firstly,
So need to clean them up and whatnot but that's...
I'd go for cams aswell while your at it, and whilst doing that maybe new valves, im currently doing my throttle body build on a spare engine and its costing alot for not much gains but if your not botherd by that then carry on, im doing it as i want it to still be reliable and fun to drive :)
sorry for got to mention the above as dan stated,
@Dan@SJM hamlins have sourced me a price for NPR rings for 140+vat
head gasket wise what would you recomend?
I'm currently fitting ITB's to my spare engine its going to see road use and a bit of track time here and there, my question is would it be worth while getting a up rated head gasket? and on that note up rated piston rings?
I only ask as ive stripped the engine down last night and my friends dad...
From the dead again! haha ive bought a second hand setp with 120mm trumpets and was wondering how much of the underside of the bonnet do you have to hack out for a filter to fit? and what size trumpets did you fit in the end mate? that carbon backplate looks pretty smart!
So a bit of a big update,
So after getting that spare engine out completely ( yes I know it took ages)
i had a little think abut while its out how can i get the best from this engine and for it to still be reliable, Then a set of ITB's poped up on cs.net.
After a little think I decided to do...
If you get stuck pm me and I'll get you a few picture's , if you get the fitting kit I found that the bolts supplied were a tad short so I got some longer ones at screwfix mate.
literally allbwr did mate was take the front seats out position the cage in place drilled the holes through, and bolted it up with the spreader plates on the other side.
Small update time,
So after seeing the fog light blanks fitted on @Richy182. s car I wanted a set and found some :)
Fitted them at the weekend with some help from @Richy182. and @Dan@SJM and while the bumper was off changed the bulbs to some 5k HID bulbs and I like the way the front looks now...
