The 172 has been parked up for a year. It's ran during this time but the battery went flat and it's stood about 6 months.
Battery is recharged but won't start.
Further investigation. I have no spark or fuel. You don't hear the pump prime up at all.
I've cleaned the 3 black relays in engine...
The boot rubbers do let water in occasionally so maybe check that.
Likewise I had leak where the rear washer pipe goes through bulkhead. So maybe check there.
Rest... condensation?? A lot of it??
My garage is about 50m from my router and I want to pick up wifi down there.
What's best to boost/extend the signal?
I've mains power but it's run off the main fuse box but on it's own circuit and via a separate mains power cable down the garden.
Will the plug in ones work for me??
Looking good.
I'll be taking mine apart in new year. Hoping not find too many surprises. Who did you use for the replacement panels?
Look forward to more updates
I've had most 2016 off too with cars.
Clio is sorned and will be for the year.
But I'll be up for any meets when I don't have boys.
Be good to see you guys all again
Short update for tonight... will definitely try get better pics over weekend.
Vrs. First impressions love it. Great. Daily and ticks all the boxes a 'dad's' car needs too. Clio was simply being outgrown.
I've had the Octavia serviced, needed new plugs and a coil too but nothing unexpected...
Yeah 30 feels so slow in it.
Biggest difference being the fly by wire accelerator vs the cable in the Clio. Definitely prefer the feel of the cable.
Going to try leave standard for long as I can. More money to save to refresh the Clio.
Right now money needed to go towards my garage build so...
Petrol. Couldn't do a derv don't do the miles to justify one.
It's been owned by couple guys from briskoda who both really looked after it.
Feels fast not as involving to drive as the Ph1 but different kind of fun.
Recently picked this up after 6 months searching for the right one.
2 owners full main dealer history. Impeccabley kept.
Makes nice addition to the sunflower. Plan is to sorn the Clio till I can start a full refresh project.
I'll get some better pictures up soon
