Good progress again,
There is a load of meat left on that column that could of gone, I guess you still need the key though?
All looking like its progressing well though.
Graham, not sure if you have notification settings on when someone replies or likes a post, but you should of had a few recently from me. I have just gone from the start all the way through, really interesting to read and take notes going through the whole thread.
It has confirmed to me that...
Hopefully, that was what the Race Technology guys seem to say, but they are investigating further and getting back to me.
That would be great if you find anything out. Cheers
It is a bit of an anti-climax to be honest... but yeah it is looking promising and to be honest I have got this far through other problems so whats one more...
As for when I will be out testing it - I am unsure. The aforementioned work I have just had done has wiped me out cash wise so nothing...
UPDATE:
Over the past few days I have been researching the dash issue, it seems that this is actually quite a common problem after hearing from a few people about it.
After speaking with BIGASH he mentioned that the dash or the interface (lead) may need to go back to Race Technology to be...
I think I have completely missed this thread... I am going to have to go back and read from the start.
Great that we have someone involved with Winscombe on this forum - I intend to participate at Winscombe in the future. It is a little while off yet but its a must do for me...
Yeah I may have made a mistake but I will see when I finally start to use it.... I did move it the other day without the steering wheel too, thats even harder... ;)
I haven't. I have only learnt about them this evening so jotted there details down in my list as a reference. I am not even sure I will be still in the area by the time it gets to geo setup but I will see - seems like a pretty good place and is right on my doorstep
UPDATE:
As mentioned yesterday I collected the car from Northampton Motorsport today. They were great and took a decent bit of time talking me through all the work they have done, very happy with the service there and would highly recommend them. I used the same transporter to bring it up to...
UPDATE:
So I have been away on holiday for a couple of weeks, whilst away I got contact from Troy at Northampton Motorsport and they can not calibrate the dash, the conversation was very brief and not the clearest but it looks like it is something I am going to look into when I get the car back...
Very lucky on getting it checked, deffo better to be safe than sorry.
Hope you get to the bottom of it easily and out a couple more times this year.
As mentioned elsewhere I think I may be bothering you about the loom bits as I think I have more issues....
Sounds like you have made the right choice.
Fast moving on the trailer, that worked out well. What you thinking car wise? Race car or something you can use and trackday? (Friend is currently selling a Mini race car).
This is a massive shame. Looks like you have had a real tough ride (no pun intended). Seems like you have really been messed around.
Sounds like Andy is straight up... I chose Northampton Motorsport and after 7-8 years of mine being in pieces I needed somewhere I could take it leave it and get...
Electronics are not my strong point (actually what is.... I really need to learn)
I know you can add the data logger to the older Dash2 and then with the extra GPS sensor separately (that then plugs into that) you can get the speedo. This may be a way to go to future proof the car, a data logger...
This looks pretty handy and keeps it all nice in the engine bay. I am a little concerned that I am doing to have to de-pin the connectors going into the back of the Dash2, I also need to check on the wiring for the kill-switch (it wasn't my loom originally) but I will see the state of play once...
