Just an update really......info on the website is a bit vague as to where exactly the first stage is....just says lay-by off a44.....looks like i`m going to the start first in Newtown to pick up a programme then hopefully make my way to the first stage from there.....talk about going in blind.

All the info is avaliable now on their web page..Newtown and District car club....Am in two minds about going as i have to pay £5 at every separate stage..a programme is essential so there`s another expense,i`ll probably still be going so look out for a odyssey ph1 about...

As the title says really,its on this sunday 3rd march,i know it starts from the town of Newtown in mid wales but as yet nothing has been posted on the website......anyone going or been in the past.

Never mind....found an old post...must say thanks to dan@519 automotive:approve:....after fitting the new icv..turn the ignition off and on and pause 15 seconds in between and now the car idle`s exactly where it should.....Happy Bunny Again.

Does it have to settle down???....letting it idle at high revs and eventually drop down??

While i was checking the car over and changing old parts for new i thought i`d get a new Idle Control Valve,it arrived today(shipped from france!!),just fitted it and now the car wont idle,its revving at 2k....anyone got any ideas as to whats wrong. Have re-fitted it twice.....cleaned the hole...

As the title says,i have the part number which is 77 00 112829,i know its what the idle control valve fits onto but i have no idea what its called....anyone know?

I love driving to Ironbridge,the 3rd pic is at barmouth....last year before the severe storms hit.

It hasnt got the fibre bonnet....wish i hadnt sold it,but it was a pain to drive in the tiniest bit of rain....hey....ho.

You mean you was actually following a rally car round the stages........jammy so-n-so.

My odyssey 172 was in the rear hotel car park,got cs11 and cs12 stickers,was there with the mrs.Did the fleetwood in the morning missed stages 3-4 as had to have the tracking done..then watched the blackpool stages.

Plus changing some parts although would be an expensive fix will also cease any future problems as old parts will need replacing eventually.

Ok...i`ll admit that i thought fly by wire meant it was a wire throttle....doh to me,but thanks for the advice on the problem,i found a loose wire connection besides the battery that led to the ecu....tightened the nut up....job done.:rasp:

I`m getting confused now...i have a ph1 172 and the throttle is controled by cable!!!....anyway back to my problem,fitted a replacement map sensor,but still having the same problems,have ordered a new idle control valve,if that doesnt cure it then coilpack is next.

Lambda sensor was changed last year,throttle position sensor???...its fly by wire so unsure about that,thanks anyway...all helps to eliminate the problem...got a spare map sensor,will try that tomorrow.

Havnt plugged it in yet....wanted to get an idea of problem first.

Just to add...she has 118k on the clock,fuel filter changed 4 months ago,oil change last year,throttle body cleaned and ok.

Got a bit of an issue with my ph1....it has recently started to act weird is the way to describe it. Ok...was driving to work earlier this week and the car,at some traffic lights...as they go green,i pull away and i get a judder and a stall....lights on dashboard(temp,abs,stop,milage goes...

I just thought i`d post this and let everyone know who`s interested in standing about in Blackpool,watching noisy rally cars raving round on the tarmac?? I have never been to watch a rally,and this one(which is next week..9th febuary).If anyone knows any details about this event then please...

After getting a call from the mrs,we wont be able to make it....

We usually go out for sunday dinner at the local,but we are open to go with the majority.

I was going to call them and arrange a re-map anyway,as you are struggling to find somewhere to go i thought i`d make a suggestion.I`m sure you`ll find a rolling road soon,there are loads about just a matter of finding the better ones.

I really wish you would consider tdf as ive been there before,cant complain,and they did grub there.....plus i could chat about getting my car re-mapped while we were there..;)
