I’m really enjoying VR now. Still really only playing racing and flight sims, but it adds a whole new layer of immersion.
I think I’m done with my Rift S though. The experience is good, but the resolution and field of view just isn’t good enough. I think the ultimate step will end up being a...
The F40 is the development of a not very good Group B car.
The F50 uses the engine of one of best Ferrari Formula 1 cars of all time, and benefits from some seriously gucci chassis design.
Controversial view, but I think it’s more controversial because the F40 was just so bloody fast and...
Can you not go 10-20mm wider?
Not everywhere is an inner city crawlfest tbh. Once you get out on the open road you can absolutely have enough fun to want something grippy. I understand that some people won't care about the ultimate performance tyre though.
Yeaaaah. Tbh though you’ll probably only buy a few aircraft and a couple of maps, and during a sale.
There’s no way you’d be able to remember how to fly more than a few planes at once so it limits you.
My apologies.
PS5 looks interesting. Even more interesting is it seems the only place you can get them from is Asda tyres which is…. Unnerving. No reviews yet.
Tbh if you’re approaching a ford and you pass two broken down cars, see 20 people watching on one side and a guy with a camera on the other, and have to drive around a broken car on your way through, you probably deserve it.
Running a semi slick for road use is pointless IME. Unless you get some proper heat into them, something like a PS4 is better in the dry, and always better when cold/wet. Even the R888Rs I run for track use are broadly similar when cold to my PS4s in the dry… and they have an extra 120mm of...
Obviously, yes.
My point is that good tyres = I can go flat
Bad tyres = that is what would happen if I went flat
Therefore good tyres make a difference.
My current set of PS4s are getting low. If it's a bit damp and I floor it on one of the onramps near me, it'll fry third gear.
When they're new I can hook first in some conditions and 2nd everywhere else.
Needless to say, motorway onramps are slightly less fun when you're doing 50 and your...
You’d be slotting into Class A4 I believe? Depending on who shows up it can be pretty bloody fast, that’s the class I fell into with the Volvo. 550bhp Golf R is the car to beat usually.
Know what you mean though, I’m yet to take a class win, but it’s a bloody arms race so not easy. Always...
I remember back in the early days of my racing (08-09) there were a couple of Sunnys competing regularly. Always epic fun to watch and fast too. Can’t remember the driver but a yellow one in particular, until it hit a tree a few metres before the finish at Mamhead. Always liked these cars as a...
That is... wow. Yeah I'd be a bit miffed tbh.
I wonder if it can be hacked to work like a catapult, if an old lady steps out in front of you it times the airbag deployment just right to launch the old biddy into orbit.
I’m guessing your best bet will be to import a bumper from a crashed 182 here in the UK or France etc.
Your main issue is that you have a spare wheel well where the 182’s back box sits.
Nope, I use Bluestuff, which is actually a great pad already.
Unfortunately I can’t get the RP-1/X in my fitment without them doing ‘lab pads’ otherwise I’d be giving them a go. Everything I’ve heard about them from people who’ve run them says they are fantastic.
Nah. Group B was 600bhp cars with 300bhp brakes, steering, chassis and suspension. They were barely any faster because they were so utterly undriveable.
Also Group B wasn’t in the WRC era ;)
