Terrible advice, my mum had one and it was awful..... I’d much rather have a standard Clio than one of these. Tiny, rattley, not quick considering, noisey and cheap.
A 182 is far better in everyday and better equipped and cheaper.
I made a template card one first and used various metal shaping techniques to achieve the desired shape then filled, primed and painted as I’m a fabricator and painter by trade.
I tried to get these mass produced in carbon and fibreglass but knowbody wanted to pay the money for it so im the...
The grown ups colour option, my FF 2005
I made my own spoiler extension and lowered it in cooksport springs, fitted a recaro SPG amongst loads of new Renault parts. 2k’s worth.
Love the old girl
Much better mate.....
Yeah you may need to push the ecu over abit mines a good 5-10mm away so loosen the bolts and have a move about.
You can also bend the tab slightly to make it more level and sit upright. I used a non marking set of pliers. As mine was really bent for some reason.
if I was to produce some I’d have them fill the oem fog surround abit better, I do like the fixing points.
I don’t think it would be difficult to produce, the fixing point I’d have to weld on as I doubt I could engineer them with them on as it would be billet then and very expensive.
Il be over...
Hi mate, welcome to the SE club.
As for mods, I think one of my battery cover/intake covers lifts the bay big time. Whilst helping heat soak.
I also rate the ps3 tyres and suspension refresh.
good check over if the cam cover bolts, clean up the throttle body, easy little bits go along way I find.
Another update, brakes this time.
My brake lines were completely shot and rusted and my fluid was a mix of 3 brake fluids so safe to say it was time to upgrade. Pro line kit was purchased over xmas but only just got it fitted and it’s a huge improvement. Can’t recomend it enough and as always...
Well, that escalated quickly Jesus that’s going to look good. Different colour inside surly?
Lunar grey will work very well, satin finish to reduce glare .
Looks good yet again mate.
I reckon the shifter will be the best thing you’ve fitted as people say they are excellent bar the vibration. Be good to see the difference in having it fitted and not. Sure it depends on where you put it on the kit aswell regards how well it works.
I’m waiting for a BMS shifter to pop up...
None whatsoever matey. Loose it you’ll be fine. It wasn’t on when I purchased it, most of the heatsheilding underneath is rotten or getting that way so moved the others aswell.
And another xmas treat, refurbished and painted a cheap 40” snap on box. Full strip down and pint in Audi Nardo grey. New badges, new struts and I have black gloss draw guards coming too
First update of the new year.
Been pretty busy with the Clio and spending has already begun, with my water pump and pulleys screaming into the new year I had to bite the bullet and get the dephaser done with water pump and everything else needed. Cam timing was way off so Andy at engine...
I need to have a meet up, I never meet up with anyone anymore down south. Where you meet up?
My arches need doing badly, will be focusing some more on the bay come better weather.
Well another update for you guys....
First of all il start with my trip to Mark Fish motorsport for a Geo, been there before and dealt with mark and Alex both spot on blokes I waited in the workshop whilst they did my geo and had them look at the cam timing as suggested by engine dynamics said...
When I did my cage and mounts I removed the rear inner arch stonechip/sealer it was so thick. The plate sealed so much better on the body then. Just something to consider mate.
Obviously have to remove the burnt stone chip when you weld in the mounts aswell underneath and re apply. Someone on...
