Halfords low profile is ace. Bought one last year as was bored of rolling the Volvo onto wood to get a jack under it! Also lifts it much easier than my old one (comfortably lifts one side of the car! (There’s an axle stand under there)).
Gutted to not to have gone this year! would’ve been our tenth on the trot. There was a good YouTube feed with eurosport coverage and radio Le Mans but it just got shut down 😩
Bring on some heavy rain in the night time!
The red Aston looks epic!
There's one of these on insta i see a bit with those wheels in gold and i far prefer the volans on it (it's dark blue though so the silver/grey might suit this better?)
Also a massive fan of that numberplate..... I can't find much of interest that will go on mine being an M reg.
Edit...
My EML comes and goes (usually if I’ve sat in traffic for a bit). It can generally be reset using the little ports under the bonnet behind the drivers light ...
That’s also how I found the true mileage of mine so I could fix the odometer and have it read accurately!
A tiny part of me misses the shoepoo. It did so well on 175k with the most minimal of servicing and most plastic of tyres. The chap that bought it had three broken ones at home. I do fear he now has a fourth 😂
Think this is year 9 for a few of the failsport lot (including @Sir_Dave who does a champion job of organising us/getting away on his birthday weekend every year🤣) And cannot wait. Although suspect the lupo wot be making a third appearance.....
It’s a proper highlight of the year. Take...
Not a clio but old Volvo that’s done about 210k Miles. Aside from the fact it only really likes posh fuel, things that weren’t planned to last 26yrs/200+k are starting to fail. Monthly. 😂😭 but I can’t ever see myself selling it so the monthly bills are making it ready for the next 200k...
I love 'em swampered! And it makes much more sense for a lot of folks (MTB'ers/builders etc!) Transporter HQ and Solow suspension have built a couple of nice ones using double cap/doka's although the rear deck on that one above is awesome!
