I'd be up for this, quite happy to travel too although probably only for an outdoor track. Such a difference between a proper outdoor track and a small indoor.
Well...yeah... Actually the same day!
But that was an original coolant hose and nothing to do with the supercharger.
There is literally no point In doing ITB's and charging. It's a nice idea but just a huge hassle and gives you no extra power.
Hey!
None of the supercharger bits have caused reliability issues!
I'm jealous of that noise! There were some throttle body clios at CSS and that reminded me just how awesome they sound.
Did my first track time with this car at CSS ( the whole of which was awesome fun) last weekend.
The new brakes were fitted and almost bed in, I finished that off in my first outing on the track which seemed to do the trick.
I'm really impressed with the Wilwoods, very confidence inspiring, not...
ITB's will be awesome. I was really tempted before I got mine.
Although after being in track with the supercharger I'm not sure I'd go back. So much better than a standard power mx5.
I'm another one for last minute prep.
Bought the tent last night, picking the car up tommorow morning after its had new brakes fitted. Then tommorow afternoon off work to bed in the brakes, clean the car and pack whatever I can think to take. Pretty sure I just need tent, sleeping bag, booze...
I think the slightly later convoy is probably my best option.
One question. Would people be alright stopping at the morrisonns petrol station in Gainsborough on the way in? I could do with filling up before the afternoon track time.
Either time would suit me to be honest, I'll probably just go with the majority group, however small that may be!
I think there are less convoys this year as a few people are going up on Friday and there are generally less from this region going.
There are two main forums really, mx5nutz is the one I frequent. Caters for stance orientated cars through to track orientated cars. A lot of modified cars on nutz but quite a good core of knowledge. A younger crowd than the owners club.
Then there is mx5oc, which caters to the other end of...
I have a long list of 'to own' cars but one of these is right near the top. Something about them that's always appealed more than a scooby, looks great.
Yeah I haven't got ABS, I probably won't need to adjust the bias at all but it's an option if I need to at some point.
I'm under no illusion the wilwoods are overkill for the amount of time I actually spend on track, but I just see it as future proofing for when I want more power
Plus they...
I only need the discs as I've bought some brackets to sit my 1.8 calipers further out to fit the discs. I think if you went the whole hog you'd change the calipers to the sport ones but I don't think I need that. Hopefully not anyway!
I'm still debating a proper proportioning valve as well so I...
Cheers for the heads up on the ds2500's, I wasn't sure what pads to go for as I haven't really got much experience with them. They seem to be quite a personal thing as to what people like so I just bought I'd give them a try as they seem quite popular.
I did plan to do the brakes in stages but...
I'm so jealous of that day at milbrook. Got driven around pretty much all of it in a mini bus by someone who knew the place well and that was fun (scary) enough. Imagine it was awesome fun in your TVR
