Hmm don't quote me on this. But are you planning on doing this abs removal to the trophy. If so I don't know what your opinion on this is but if you remove the abs system and all of its parts im pretty positive you'll loose speedo, eps and cruise etc.

Hmmm. All 172 I have seen have had the alarm installed after production. They splice into the door lock button and hazards and the system runs independent from the car. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen 3-4 clio's and they are all done like this :/

If I'm thinking what your saying your spinning the caliper onto the line correct!
You shouldn't need to do this as the nut on the brake line should spin freely. By that I mean bolt the caliper to the hub put line in a and tighten nut.
Thanks for you input chip.. Although the pedal seems okay not spongy. Il get Renault to do a bleed for now and check pads/discs I've read up about glaze and doing research a lot of people are mentioning this 2 although a couple mentions knock back. But I would say this is due to worn pads. Correct!
Having doing a bit of research there is a lot of comments coming back with due to glazing as advikaz said above. I'm no brake scientist but must be due to compound/material and light braking heavy breaking.
