Ha ha. Half problem was I hadn't driven it for a week and half, so forgot how good it was to drive.
Started the new job yesterday and had a big grin just coming off a roundabout, lol, has to be kept!
Few twisties in forest of Dean on my journey to coleford too! [emoji4]
Anyway, didn't take...

It's the middle of page 2. Save you the effort [emoji4]
Strangely I found engine decrease worse than the brake cleaner. It left a residue... which I had to Remove with the brake cleaner.
A quick clean and a polish would...
Looks lovely. [emoji106]
The powdercoated parts are sweet. Stops everything corroding too!
The cam covers easy to paint mate! All you need to do to paint it is remove the inlet.... which you'll be doing anyway [emoji4]
Flick through my thread if you like, pics of how I did mine on...
Painted is my preference.
Powder coating is ideal!
Don't think you can paint/remove cam cover without effecting timing or something else. I was looking to remove mine to paint but was told not to.
So painted mine in situ.
Yeah. Rob all the parts you can off it! [emoji106] [emoji41]
+1 for wheel specialist in cwmbran.
As recommended by sharky. Thanks again!
Did my Audi s3 wheels in a metallic. Rays bronze it's called. They look unreal in the sunshine!
They look gunmetal untill the sun hits them, and it then has a bronze colour to the metallic.
Very professional and...
Looks brilliant. Look forward to seeing it.
Looks like it's going to be a beauty, parts going on are spot on too! Very nice.
As for engine bay ideas... yours looks neater from the off with the lack of AC pipework [emoji106]
Satin black battery cover maybe?
Clean/renew the coolant tank? I...
Ha ha!
I'm daft with cars..... sold my mint impreza years back because I changed job and was putting loads of miles on it!
Thought the car "deserved better" lol!
Wish i still had that too. So would prob regret the Clio.
Lol. I know.... I need to snap out of it! [emoji41]
Yeah. Definitely be up for a few runs!
In the Clio or whatever I'll be driving (probably the Clio [emoji4]) !
Maybe the Audi will make an appearance on one.
Yeah. Dano 182 looks nice. [emoji106]
Can see your cup then too. It looks a beauty. [emoji41]
Ha ha.
On the hoon front..... may be coming on more now as it's looking like I might be quitting with Murphys, so no more working away!
Doing a trial run this week on a job (in coleford), start tomorrow. So see how it goes.
So will be nice to be working at home, and not Scotland etc...
Yeah. Your probably right!
Just feel bad clocking serious miles up on such a nice car. But then on same hand it's great to be in a great car that's not boring.
I don't know. Confused!
Ha ha. Cheers. Its looking lovely!
The 2 cars on drive look ultra glossy! Loves it! [emoji41]
Sad thing is, I'm battling in my head on whether to sell the Clio or not..... I'm torn.
Cleaning it like that really makes me want to keep it though! [emoji4]
Finished the car today.
As the car had a major machine polish around a year ago, I only did 1 good going over with finishing polish, and white hex pad.
2 coats ultra glaze.
2 coats tough coat.
1 coat Pete's 53 wax.
Headlights were starting to haze a bit again so did them with 3 passes of...
After giving the S3 a major going over with the DA polish session..... Can't leave the Clio out!
So today gave it a thorough clean, iron out, de tar (and emulsion paint spots [emoji20]) and a clay jobbie. Buffed off and parked in garage ready for a polishing tomorrow.
As I DA polished it...
f**king lol!
Showed my Mrs, she was shocked too!
Man that's criminal! I know their cheap but they should still be safe.
Enjoy the new one [emoji106] [emoji4]
Not sure about a code for CYC.
Seems a good buy this
http://www.shopnshine.co.uk/das6-pro-menzerna-kit
Code is: dw
I ordered a decent sized order at about 2pm today, chose standard free delivery.
Text me few hours later to say it'll be with me tomorrow! Excellent service. On a bank holiday...
Yeah. Wasn't sure wether to bother or not as I'm using a sealant.
Seems a lot of people still use waxes on top of a seal to add depth and shine. So will give it a try!
For the price it does have good reviews. Its about as much as I'd give for a wax anyway. I'm not entering shows [emoji4]
Quite a bit. Need almost everything to 're stock to do a full job on the s3
AF= obliterate, iron out, tough coat, ultra glaze, avalanche.
CG Pete's 53 paste wax.
25mm blue tape, VP large detail brush, yellow foam wax pad. 5.5 pads CG hex Orange and white.
All 107 quid.
Omfg. That's horrendous! !
That sooooo doesn't suit a Clio. Or any hatchback for that matter.
Anyway look forward to some decent snaps of the car [emoji106] [emoji4]
Old thread bump. Lol.
I get that with guys I work with. A lot of them like, but aren't "into", cars.
So most are a little confused why I have a girly yellow clio
And probably 80% of people I meet don't really care/know what they are.
But for the 20% that do, it makes owning it that touch...
Scotland road trip thread is live! Its a long read though. http://www.cliosport.net/index.php?threads/780771/
Scottish circular of Cairngorns finest. Pic heavy and long winded!
