The cups look better but I'd be going for a standard 172.
Although the price differential is so small between a 172 and a 182 I'd just get a 182. Which I did.
I've not driven a 172 Cup, but owned a ph1 so pretty much the same weight. Yes it was a tiny bit more raw than the 182, but in reality...
Looks in amazing condition Mike. Its nice to see one clean and properly looked after, most 3 series you see are just covered in 25,000 miles of dirt and generally not looked after.
That's normally the 4 cylinder models mind, middle management company cars.
I agree. They're not like a 500 whp Skyline or something that is really hard to control. They are a nippy car but they're also very predictable and driver friendly. The power delivery in linear, they aren't tail happy, decent brakes.
Yes you are more likely to have a higher speed off than in a...
Re: My Ultra Red 200.
When your spending that kind of money on a car mate make sure you get exactly what you want.
Recaros would be a must for me. As would the projector lamps, oh and speedlines. You see where this is going.
Buying a 200 would be so much easier if almost everything was...
If you get Toyo's I'm joining the you'll bin it in a week bandwagon.
I found the TR1's on my PH1 a terrible tyre in the wet. Dry grip was good though for a medium range tyre.
Each to their own I guess.
In the morning I won't be surprised if the buy a 1*2 at less than 25 and you will crash and die in a ball of fire before you get to the end of your road brigade will be onto this thread.
Back on topic though: OP do you have any plans for it then i.e. 3/4 front...
You could say that about anything really. Why drink/smoke its a waste of money, why buy nice clothes, why eat nice food when cheaper stuff will still keep you alive etc.
Its a luxury and he's willing to pay for it. That's fair enough to me.
Yes because on idle you are doing 0 mpg. It will show up a lot particularly if you have only recently reset the trip computer. If you've done a few hundred miles and its dropped that much in 10 mins then something is broken. I know 1.2 Clio's use about 2 litres of fuel an hour on idle according...
Re: Opinions on 1.2 16v clio's
The 172 exhaust won't fit on. There are plenty of aftermarket exhausts available for 1.2's though. Coilovers would firm up the ride significantly, I've never driven a coilovered 1.2 but believe they're much better than standard to drive.
Re: Opinions on 1.2 16v clio's
Well to be fair it is a standard supermini with the lowest power engine in, soft suspension etc that is designed to be driven around town predominantly.
If you want a more sporty drive then get a Renaultsport Clio, but they cost more. Unfortunately like most...
