For everyones info, i have been logging with a similar setup and its only pulled timing once that i can see. Need to log more, but i am on a 98rom Rstuner remap.
The rstuner map seems to run 26-28 degrees advance at MBT and seems very well suited for this IK.
Check what it is when manifold pressure is at 100 and your up high in the rpm range and cross reference it against knock correction. If there is a knock correction and then you see ignition advance start to drop , you obviously know it's pulling timing out.
If you really want to know what is happening, log: ignition advance, ignition advance after knock correction, knock signal and knock slow timing correction in RsTuner.
Hi guys took apart the ecu bracket entirely a whole back to clean up however on install , can't figure out how to mount the ecu to the internal bracket without bending the bracket mounts. Might be missing something, anyone got pictures to help?
I inspect what is happening is the ecu is detecting knock and pulling out ignition timing. You should log knock correction and ignition advance after an ecu reset and the same when you feel the power drop. Probably just needs a tune.
Yep very nice car, test drove a spec c with a speed density Mafless tune and exhausts and it sounded and drove like nothing else. Pure delight. Had it not been for a £1600 annual insurance it would have been mine.
I'd say refurb Sachs that have been powder coated would appeal to a very select market of trophy owners who attempt to retain as much of a new OE condition as possible. Never driven on H&R coilovers on a cup or trophy but have driven KW v1 in ph2 and they handled superb on fast smooth road but...
I feel you, did the same thing. Never drive forwards into a parallel parking spot. as you turn to correct in, the front passenger wheels always kerbs :(
