The original white paintwork had seen better days and I'd always fancied spraying something NATO green. Just needs lowering now, I've already got some deep dish multi spokes for it.
Well firstly we're buying a house and the Metro will be sat in a garage (I hope) so progress will be slow but I will be going down the 160 VVC route.
Clio's really do take some beating pound for pound and I miss mine like mad. On the other hand if I didn't sell it I'd still be sitting here...
I've sold the DC5, never really fell in love it like I did with the Cup, should never have sold that really.
So it's been replaced with a '98 VW Caddy Van and a '95 Rover 114 GTa lol!
It was a place called Rolling Road Services local to me...It ran as high as 196bhp at one place and the guy was asking which cams I'd got installed! LoL
My car weighed 1080kg - RR'd at 184bhp - Power/weight ratio - 170bhp/ton
Scott's Audi S3 weighed 1614kg - 260bhp - Power/weight ratio - 161bhp/ton
Ill get a video up when I'm back from work tonight.
You've openly said you've not been drag racing for years and have never taken your Clio, you're seriously underestimating your car.

I know the timing equpiment is spot on at both Shakey and Santa Pod. It has to be, they host professional drag racing championships, not just amaturish RWYB days.
My 172 Cup with only breathing mods managed a 14.3 at Shakey.
I lowered the tyre pressures slightly on the front and stiffened the damping up on the rear coilovers to limit squating.
Little update.
So a couple of weeks ago i finally sold my 172 Cup, I'd had lots of offers over the weeks but none that i was willing to take due to the amount of money I'd put into in the 3 years i owned it. The second person to actually come out and view the car was impressed and pretty much...
A few days ago i received all of the relevant paperwork through the post the from the DVLA to go ahead and put my private plate on the DC5. In my experience private registrations are a massive ball ache and not to mention a con, but oh well, I'm a sheep!
I'm pretty happy with the way it looks...
