Not ideal for road, no legroom behind the trendlines and it's too loud. I enjoy it for occasional weekends and Trackdays. Need a more standard car for miles I do to harlow and back. Use to love my meg 225 on road mapped to 278 think that's the way I'll go.
I think if I went turbo I'd want to go to a Clio 200 and have a Meg 250 lump as that looks a real nice package. For now I want to concentrate on other bits so might just sell the saab and get another meg 225 5 door for daily use so I can enjoy the power on the road
Wow 254 is impressive. Makes my 192.5 look very slow I'm sure. Starting to wonder if I went the right way with cams but never really wanted to turbo it. I've asked Richard to take me out in his 172 as he's only a mile from me see if that changes my mind.
Yeah that's me. I've always planned leaving my carpets etc in. Iove driving mine even at 193 bhp it's good fun but could only imagine how much more fun it could be at 230bhp
Been on the forum for ages but only recently started reading these build threads. I've read yours right through this morning. Was only about half way through I clicked your the Martin I bought my catcams from and put in my RB. Amazing build thread. How you finding the turbo conversion.
Looks a good top ten. Alfa gta always sounded amazing but a bit expensive to run and repair.
Like a few comments on here ep3 does nothing for me. I took one in Px recently and was expecting to like it and sell my 182 Cup. I hated it. Despite being a little more comfy than the Clio I didn't like...
They are so much fun on track, esp the shorter tighter ones. That's main reason I stick to brands indy and the fact it's just to local. Need to venture further afield next year Bedford is def happening
Future plans
Lsd of some sort. Really struggles to put the power down especially in the wet and I'll be having a new clutch soon anyway.
Engine mods either rs2 inlet or maybe throttle bodies really want to stick to n/a as love the way the car is especially on track just always crave a little...
16th Dec was cars second trackday back at Brands and weather was typical December. Ran the Pilot Sport all day and managed well over 70laps a lot of fun and only 1 very minor off managed to keep it out of the gravel tho so no damage. These cars really love the track
Dec With winter coming and the ad08r not great at this time of year. Brand new set of td1.2 and some new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 should be better suited to the weather

Cold icy trackday at Brands Hatch. 70odd laps without a problem. Car felt great despite - 3 temp when I left home at 7am. Luckily track warmed up quickly
