So my son has put a deposit on a low mileage darker blue 182 Ful Fat
52k massive specialist service history, 2 owners (current 14 years) bc coilivers, rear cage, cobra seats, carbon splitter and a Yozza amongst loads of other bits All in all a really clean car looking forward to him collecting...
Yes 4 seconds. I'm old and fat he's young and stupid.
To be fair he's a bloody good driver we e been doing some indoor karting and he's always top 10 of the week
Now we're looking for a 3rd Renaultsport he's after a 172/182 For himself
Car hasn't done many miles over winter but booked a trackday for last Sat at Brands to blow off the cobwebs my son who's 21 fancied coming along but recently sold his corrola tsport so rented a 182 from Puretrack Great day he loved the clio so much I think he's just agreed a deal on a track...
Looks mint. I'd hate to even contemplate what you've spent but I'm sure it's worth it. Last time mine was in the same picture as yours. Hopefully they won't be pictured together again. Don't want to embarrass my poor motor. Hopefully see it on track soon.
I know you've cleaned the throttle pedal but if you know someone with a 172 borrow the pedal and swap yours over it's a very simple job. Possibly swap throttle body as well You look to have cleaned everything else
Had this in my 182cup changed throttle pedal and body was good for a while but came back during a track season. Went into AW for some works so asked them to look at the white plug he cleaned it all and been good for a year
I thought width was same for both 15 and 16 195 or 205 whatever your preference. I find the car just feels better on 15s plus the seriously cheaper tyres over 16s. And personal for me I think 15s looks better. No technical answer from me which is best its a personal preference.
Pic of mine on...
I run bc ds on my track car. Find them really good for the money. I'm sure there are better ones out there if you can afford them . Bc are a nice height easy to adjust and are comfy enough on the road and stiff enough on track for me.
Finally fitted the last part of the front bumper the carbon brake ducts kit from Puretrack. Bumper was slightly deformed which made 1 side tricky but very impressed with them fitted
Wet evening track day last week at Brands. Forest time I've been on track with my 21 year old son in his corrola and was a little nervous. Weather was monsoon season had no grip whatsoever but still enjoyed myself
Finally had the front bumper painted almost 2 years after the car was scratched. Compete with brand new grill and oem stickers. Just got my carbon purerrack brand ducts to compete today. Car looks much fresher
Also fitted a puretrack fire extinguisher mount
Mine came from bca nearly 4 years ago completely standard was a Stephen james bmw part exchange had 2 owners and 80k on it. Had 7 clios and 2 megs now.
