My M5 was manual, my Golf is DSG, I like & appreciate both gearboxes, but I'd probably get a manual M3 as well TBH, although I'd not turn down a DCT M3 either.
This, the current turbocharged M3 & M4 sound w**k in comparison, I just cannot get excited about them, the older normally aspirated versions sound much better, even when you get an aftermarket exhaust on the newer cars.
The E39 M5 has masses of low end grunt and did struggle for...
It's not 'gutless', but compared to say an E39 M5, it's got much less low end grunt and has a more dramatic top end, totally different character and needs to be revved to exploit the performance, not really comparable to a boosted 6 pot to be fair, the V8 sounds infinitely better IMO.
How does the Pebble Steel do sleep monitoring then, there's no heart rate sensor AFAIK?
Agreed, the Apple Watch 2 needs good battery life, meant to be out this summer, so info & pics will start getting leaked, will then decide if I want one or not, but the battery on my 6S is superb compared to...
Had to charge it last night, so that was 3 full days of use, with 2 nights of sleep monitoring as well, pretty good for the first full charge and with me not messing with it so much now I might get another day.
I bought the Alcatel One Touch watch, as per my previous post >>> http://watch.alcatelonetouch.com/
The strap is not 'just' a strap on this watch, it contains the USB charging connection and NFC point, but the black & red rubber strap is surprisingly comfortable, it's been on my arm pretty much...
Aside from the music controls, which aren't great, the rest of the watch I like, gives me notifications (vibrates) for various things (email, Facebook, Whatsapp, calendar, etc), health & sleep monitoring, camera control, customisable faces (via the phone app), bright colour screen, etc, I've...
Picked one up from Argos on my way home, currently on charge, will play with it over the weekend and if it's crap it will go back, but reading a few owner reviews, as a basic smart watch for £79 most people seem happy with it.
Just looked & felt dated and yes I know you can install the timeline OS now, but I think I want a touch screen, colour, etc, so whilst I agree it's great for the money, for me personally I wasn't keen.
That's the thing about the Alcatel watch, excellent battery life, but it's basic, might get...
Just not for me, it's quite basic, low res monochrome screen, quite chunky, wasn't really keen on it personally.
There was an Alcatel one next to it for the same price that 'looked' much better >>>
Reviews are average (aside from good battery life), it lacks apps & functionality, but again so...
Is it this one? >>> http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/smart-tech/smart-tech/smart-watches-and-fitness/smart-watches/pebble-steel-smart-watch-silver-10078727-pdt.html
With the Apple Watch 2 on the horizon this year, I've also decided to wait, but the Pebble sounds like it might be a nice stop gap for...
I've not scratched one either, but my phones live in cases & screen protectors, hence why my 5S was like brand new after 2 years.
Just these glass screen protectors are crap and the edges chip in your pocket, I only have coins in the same pocket, no keys.
So, these tempered glass screen protectors look & feel great, however they do still get marks & scratches and I've now damaged my 2nd one, the edges seem to chip/break, which sucks!
Might just go back to an old fashioned clear plastic film, never had issues with them, they last much better.
I got this for my birthday, was on offer for about £36 online, so decided to give it a go, after being all hyped up from watching The Force Awakens and feeling all nostalgic.
So far I like it, played a lot of the single player missions/challenges at first, speeder bikes, X-Wings, etc... which...
Another vote for the Toshiba Canvio, I got the 1TB for £34.99 a few weeks ago and it's great, loads faster than the internal HDD!

For £49 the 2TB one is an absolute steal, I might actually buy one and keep the 1TB for...
