There is no benefit of changing the throttle body, I am not sure where people have got this ridiculous idea from recently. :rolleyes:
FYI, the RS Megane (225, r26 etc.) throttle body is alot smaller in comparison.

I've built an engine for my r26 with supertech pistons, PEC rods, supertech valves and all Renault gaskets, shells, bearings seals, belts etc.
With all the machine work, balancing, cleaning and paint it's nigh on a 3k engine.. that's doing the job properly and replacing...
Damn these cars drive well with a Gripper differential.

Shame you won't be able to enjoy it with all the new parts, the new onwer should be very happy though! It's had practically every suspension component replaced and the fancy diff.

Jesus, you are rather special.
Aux belt kit is 3yrs / 36k miles.
Cambelt kit is 5yrs / 72k miles.
TBH I've seen auxiliary tensioners fail in less time / miles as well.
Nobody in their right mind would fit...

If anything the standard 1*2 manifold / plenum looks far better than the Megane RS item.
And yes, it will strangle performance on your 1*2 engine, plus the port shape is totally different.
