A lot of people with 1.2s have done this and love they're cars. Just saying let him do it how he wants and what he prefers so that he's happy how his car looks..
It's probably his first car and he's probably a young driver that can't afford a fast car. Therefor he may as well get it looking the way he wants it to look and not like a woman's car.
Maybe get the head lights restored,maybe get it on coilovers if your willing to spend some money. Looks like a tidy car though,engine bay looks clean too
Yea just unscrew the old air box and put a cone on it and tighten the hose clamp and it's sorted. I'm sure you'd find a video on YouTube. Simple enough to do yourself mate

I have a mk3 imusic so the speakers are pretty good and I always have compliments on the sound system (vibe sub with alpine head unit) but you can pick up good ones in halfordd for like £20 for fli door speakers that are pretty good

Hi I have a mk3 clio and I currently have a cone air filter.i love the sound it gives but I think it looks a lot tidier with the standard air box. Can I get a panel filter to go on the box that will give it a induction noise? Or is it just with the cone type air filters?
