Seems to be quite a bit worse since having the KTec system fitted on mine, not decatted.
I forget about how silly the throttle pedal is for that as well!
Far from ideal then!
Don't think mine is unreasonable; £600 at 21 years old on the 200.
That said though, I couldn't get insured on a 1*2 for that, and I doubt there are as many 200's wrapped round trees.
I think there is a free membership option. You may not be able to see certain subforums though!
Sounds like the best fix! I'm hoping to get involved in the remap group buy on 197.net.
What kind of benefits do you usually get from mapping 197/200s?
Definitely not worth ignoring the 197/200 because of the flatspot/mpg. They are great cars and more refined than a 1*2.
There's also a little recent 'fix' for the flat spot, was considering posting it up but it's here to see...
You'll be surprised at the price of just the vinyl in some of those colours.
It's a great day out, really learn a lot and they buy one of those Subway trays for lunchtime as well!
My dad went to look at these at a main dealer, but the salesperson thought it would be smart to tell us he'd just sold two to the local funeral directors..
Sad to see that go mate, pretty much the same spec as mine bar colour, your plate is even one letter away from mine!
Also, that's a bloody big pumpkin in the first picture.
Looks very nice Kev, never come across the sealant before, how does it stand up durability-wise?
£90 for a 50ml bottle really isn't much, considering how far it spreads and it could technically coat a car for half a decade lol.
It would look better if it wasn't in a Calpol bottle though!
I considered the jump to an ST, but I really don't think it's as special as a fully-specced 200.
MPG is a minus on the 200 but that's no reason to spend double the amount for an ST imo.
Probably for the reasons mentioned above, you just don't see as many 200's around compared to ST's and...
I bet that's funny when it rains, looking like a patchwork car!
Maybe we should get a thread going at some point with some comparisons and conclusions.
Ah I see, you really can't trust what these guys say can you!
Haha! Yea he's getting it tonight.
Bet you can't wait to be in the S2K clan
Not going to hang around for a new FRS?!
I suppose not directly comparable, no, but I was comparing how easy they are to apply and that the Sonax...
Fair enough! Let me know if you need anything doing.
What you planning on getting?
Ah ok, I generally always use brushes though because nothing comes up clean enough for my liking! :(
What happened in the end with all those rumours about it being CarPro stuff?
Sad to hear it mate, don't be afraid to complain though if you aren't happy with it!
As Dave says, I wouldn't choose it over C1 or CQuartz.
Interesting to hear mate, cleaning my wheels after three months I can still see C1.5 beading and sheeting!
Thanks Kev! Really do love this colour and the car is brilliant.
As you say, for something with seemingly such little to it in how it's so watery, I will never know how it's so durable!
C2v3 will last longer I'm sure mate, I just haven't seen it adding anything to the gloss on whites, blues...
The other one to try is Sonax Brilliant Shine quick detailer, adds more shine than C2v3!
Ease of use and durability of sealants make them very hard to ignore.
