As said, the valves are usually the first thing to go - one piece valves for the rebuild ;)

if the belt has slipped and not broken it will have bent valves (ie no compression) but the cams will still turn mate, so not a fool proof way of checking

Pop an injector out, crank it over and see if there is any fuel coming out - if not then (As there is fuel in the pipes) there must be no signal getting to the injectors - check all injectors to make sure no signal is there, then just need to figure out if it is an ECU issue (which i doubt) and...

Could be anything mate, it could be a tensioner failing, hence the loud noise but you really need to have it diagnosed

I used to hate these, in fact so much I will use capitals - HATE. But as of late, I've got 180 - I think they have aged so well, and yours just looks stunning mate! The seats and 2 tone look awesome!

If someone wanted a 182 exhaust, then doing a proper job of it would be replacing the boot floor with a 182 boot floor - sounds like someone has done that and done it properly, rather than one of those 182 'look' exhausts
