my car has a knocking noise coming from the drivers side, it happens when accelerating hard or when its wet spinning and when changing gear when driving fast sometimes
could this be th engine mount?
yea i mentioned a thread before going to look at it.
i was chatting to jimmer yesterday, he took me out for a soin in his which convinced me i wanted it.

had to get the train down to arundel near brighton from bristol, took four hours but bloody worth it.
car is in mint condition, its standard at the moment apart from private plate R 5PRT.
the cars got 64k, fsh on a x plate i paid 3800.

quite possibly, i've just text him asking he's got all the documents and he has, the previous owner had it all done
its a 2 hour drive, hope it aint a dog but he promises its in mint cond and drives really well just needs to sell for a deposit on a house.
i'm taking a mechanic so wonnt touch...
New cambelt, camshaft and valves at 35'000 miles. seems abit early to have it done.
i'll probably get it moped and polished up anyway.
gotta find myself a ph2 back bumper and bump strips now.
what 172 would you get?
i can afford a mk1 now but love the look of the cup so wouldn't mind saving a little extra but would i miss the air con and abs so should i get the ph2 172.
you guys know best, what you think?
what would you get?
looking into buying a 172 mk1, are there any common problems with them? whats the best things to look out for whilst looking at them?
for the people who own them what do you think?
