Although not the quickest cars the clio's are hardly what I'd describe as slow! Certainly don't think a 325i should be quicker as suggested above lol.

I'm amazed you can write that you're to skint to pay that little extra for a belt kit to fix this properly when you have savings to one side for a Skyline. It beggars belief tbh!
Problem is that bit more power is right at the top of the rev range so in reality your peak power was probably better/more usable before.
Hope a decent map changes that and the torque for you...
I have them in mine. I like them but I'd say it's only worth doing if your belts also need doing due to the cost of it all...
You'd also need to find some 2nd hand and they go for around £100-200. 200 being quite steep for them.
