I had this problem i loosened off the fatty so it could move around as i got the cover in place then tightened up and zip tied it before putting cover back on
As daz said dont go mad on modding. My mate "back int day" fitted 172 body kit and interior to his 1.2 but that said he got it all for 150 quid. Looks a sound motor but save for a 1*2 and keep your spend on it to a minimum ive found out the hard way in the past Pic is of my mates 1.2
Sure do bought it with the miltek and springs already on, ive added some bits and got it running spot on now waiting for my fatty induction and battery cover to come from marc then im gonna turn my attention to a few rust bubbles Ive found.
Just been looking through the mountain of history i got with the car and found that they kept the order form. I thought it was cool so thought i'd share.
I had a 206 that used to cut out when ever i dropped the clutch turned out to be the earth strap on top of the gear box take out battery and its case and have a look in there. They can cause all sorts of problems when broken
I use a karcher steam cleaner every few months i think its called the SC1 iirc itwas like 30 quid you can do carpets with it too its also got a seat attachment. Then usually just go over them with the vac with brush attachment, they're f***ers for collecting bits in the sides.
