To be honest procurement is probably the worst part of the job.
Similar story with Atlassian, pricing everyone out of their on-prem/self hosted deployments into their cloud so you’re at their mercy every time they get breached.
HMG are still trying to get their head around it, so while we’re using it a bit to make our lives easier, it’s not being ham-fisted in anywhere it can be.
From a security perspective it poses some very interesting opportunities and challenges, and hopefully won’t make me redundant too quickly.
Ahh the old MSP paradox...
In all seriousness, I got a grad role doing Cyber at an MSP and, sure it had it's faults, but it was one of the few places that actually had a cyber grad scheme so gotta take what you can get. (But I did leave immediately after the scheme)
Think most people above have said the most important bits.
Start off in a role that exposes you to a bit of everything like support or what others have suggested data centres.
See what you enjoy then follow that.
Back in the day when I was doing 2nd line support there was a guy who was doing...
A friend has been raving about this on GeForce NOW so I gave it a try and it is amazing, everything running on ultra compared to medium on my actual PC and is so smooth. Will defo be using that to play this and Cyberpunk going forward.
Starting this again is making me realise how much I missed first time round, barely made the most of the skill trees, mods etc.
Apart from remembering a few bits of the story it feels like a new game.
Seeing how much time some of you guys have put in makes me think I may get seriously hooked...
This is sort of my thinking.
I’ve played the game already at launch, so while there will be fewer bugs, it’s not going to be much different aesthetically, rather save it for when I’ve upgraded.
Picked it up and so far it’s been pretty enjoyable, would have liked a bit more involvement in taking off, flying, landing etc rather than just hitting X.
Graphics are disappointing for a not very old PC but hopefully actual optimisation will arrive or maybe I’ll have to upgrade. In the...
Runs with high graphics settings and 130+ fps on a 2070 which was cool.
Downloaded some mods and it’s great fun just messing around on.
Guy I work with has been going on about the modded online lobbies so need to give that a try
Interested to see what you get for that budget, I’d stretch for 1440p if you can, but to get a decent watt PD display you might need to spend more.
You spelt pornography wrong
Few people I know have had bonkers renewal quotes and have either ended up cancelling or moving to Sky Stream because they couldn’t negotiate anything close to acceptable.
That said, I’ve just renewed, similar package to above plus Sky Sports for £65 which is only a tenner more than my last...
Did the AWS Solutions Architect associate exam a couple of months and it's definitely a good place to start if you're working with AWS or plan to in the future. Good basis to decide if you want to specialise further, or just keep your cloud options open.
Our 18mo contract is up soon, excited to see how £52pm can become £120pm in 30 days.
Has anyone managed to get an introductory offer as an existing customer recently?
As we’re moving next month I think it might be easiest to just cancel and get the missus to take out a contract.
