Wondering about how much the handling differs with cup suspension with coilovers vs non cup with coilovers

Cup suspension was slightly lower and slightly stiffer than none cup suspension. So yeah, you're correct. Cup springs are no longer available but cup shock absorbers are.

    Decat pipe on 182

I had one on my Yozza exhaust years ago. The eml came on a couple of times. I just reset it each time and it never came back on again. Zero performance gains as others have said. It made an already loud exhaust louder. I took it off come MOT time and never put it back on, so I sold it.

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

Type D is the old one. The new one is Type E. Renault don't sell Type D anymore. If you want it, you have have to buy Febi.

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

The thing that concerns me is. Type E has an expiry date of only 3 years. Whereas Type D is 8 years. Surely the Type E will degrade much faster after going through 100s of heating and cooling cycles?

Carpro Dlux lasts for ages, a little bit goes a long way. I had high hopes for the Infinity wax plastic coat when it was released as I like their products, but was really disappointed how long it lasted. Autoglym trim gel is poor as well in my opinion.

    New engine need advice 👍🏻

If you're going to take it elsewhere. You've got Diamond motors in Long Eaton, near Nottingham or Birchdown in Malpas, Cheshire. https://www.diamondmotors.co.uk/ https://www.birchdown.com/

If you need a new key fob….

You can get a new key fob with blank blade from Amazon for £12. You just need to find somewhere that can code it and cut the blade. I've never bought one so can't vouch for the quality. But for 12 quid it's got to worth a punt if you need one...

    1*2's being Broken !

My 182 has had £4.7k spent just on the bodywork alone in the last 2 years 😮 plus another £400 on the wheels being refurbed, so a grand total of £5.2k. Plus servicing, tyres etc... It soon adds up lol. £3k was through the insurance for a low impact no fault claim. New bonnet, front bumper...

I've tried Infinity wax plastic coat and wasn't that impressed to be honest. Carpro Dlux wipes the floor with it for restoring the colour and longevity.

Rain sensor 182- can someone confirm…..?

Same here. My auto wipers have always worked perfectly 👍 I think the auto lights are pretty pointless and they've always been disabled.

Rear Brake Disc/ Pad fitting Issues...

Like @Crayola said. Make sure the lug on the back of the pad lines up with the groove in the piston. Your pad looks a bit low down so the bar will never go in. Also file off any s**t or rust on the pad carrier that the bar slides on. Plus the bar that slides under the pad looks a bit battered...

Three-A Tyres - thoughts of those who've actually used them

I used to run Rainsport 2s and 3s on my 182. They were a very good tyre as the name suggests in the wet. But I would only ever get about 5k miles out of 2 tyres. I've been running Avon ZV7s for a few years now and I can easily get 10k miles out of a set of 2 now. I've found them good in the wet...

Three-A Tyres - thoughts of those who've actually used them

I'll be honest with you. I've never even heard of a P606 tyre 🤔 but looking on Google, it's a proper Billy budget tyre with very poor reviews. I'm assuming it's for a 182? Can I ask why you're looking at such a poor performing tyre?

Three-A Tyres - thoughts of those who've actually used them

Watching with interest. Never heard of three A tyres. I've just looked on their website. It's not very easy to navigate or find a specific tyre? I've always used Camskil. There are a plethora of tyres in 205 x 45 x 16 to suit all budgets and requirements.

Is it glass though? Wing mirrors are usually plastic mirrors. @Hollidog . Can you not just pop the mirror glass / plastic out of the actual wing mirror fitting. It'll be easier to polish once it's out of the wing mirror fitting itself.

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

You're reply was a bit confusing actually after I read it a couple of times. At first you say you're 99.9% sure the bush should be tight in the body of the tensioner. Then you said it should be able to move so it can pivot. I'm assuming it's not supposed to pivot on the bolt, more like the...

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

Thanks for the reply 👍 I have another one where it does move freely, as in this video. So the one that doesn't move at all must be seized? I've just given it a good soaking in plus gas and see if it does free up.

I got hold of a 2nd hand aux belt tensioner. I did tag this onto a previous post of somebody else's but nobody responded. The black part thats held in with a bearing clip.
