Donor has arrived this evening and am glad to say all the bit's I will need look good, need a clean but other than that looks good. Car has had paint so bodywork isn't great and rot is setting in especially round the rear arches so feel better about breaking it as it's probably past being saved...
Very little rust if it has any, although also doesn't have a lot of anything else either 😂 donor car arrives later so hopefully that looks good once it arrives, saw what I thought was a Ph1 on the A14 going on a recovery truck last night and thought hope that's not you, obviously not...
It will be 😂
I am thinking of moving in  am not sure his mum knows the flamer is coming yet, we have gone halves on it though so it's half his fault 😂
It's not great inside it has to be said, hopefully the donor will help make it easier, let's see what we can do...
Am planning on transferring as much as possible over next weekend, am just organising a cup dash loom so that might slow me up if that doesn't arrive and then have all brake pads, rear discs and rear brake lines to do, wire in the EPAS and pinch the exhaust off the flamer as a temporary measure...
Car is complete as far as I am aware so whilst I am not expecting it to be immaculate should form a good starting point, it will hopefully go out of one and in to the other  that's the plan for now
All being well this donor car will be arriving on Monday, I have gone half's with a friend who also needs some bit's off it, should help with the lack of interior in the cup, decided this was the easiest way to replace all the missing interior rather than trying to buy all the bit's individually...
Do you think you could fix yours once it's off? Might be worth it and just use the other one as a stop gap, although no crack in it is always a good thing  It looked really clean when I saw it, a lot cleaner than mine, I know that doesn't mean anything but hopefully will be all good under...
Managed to get down and have a proper look round the cup today, it's already on different wheels, only temporary but with legal tyres and it currently has a driver's seat in although again only temporary. Managed to clear it out and hoover what was left and give it a quick wash on the outside so...
It needs wiring up but will be interesting to try it, I have a couple of friends running it on fast road/track cars, I hadn't realised it was adjustable though, will let you know when I have a seat in the car and driven it as to what I think about it
I did think this when you were talking of getting another one!
I did say to the person who bought the exhaust that I might regret this  will sort out another exhaust, these things happen, let's hope it ends up better than the Ph1
I am in 2 minds at the minute, going to see what happens on Sunday, I have kid's so would be good to be able to get them in it if needs be but also would be easier from where it is to go the whole hog with it with cage and track it
After my Ph1 met an untimely end and the shell went off to the scrap yard nearly a month ago I was on the lookout for another Clio. Didn't really have a solid plan of what I was looking for, would have loved another Ph1 and am still looking but didn't see what I wanted and couldn't get a couple...
It arrived this morning on a low loader  it needs some work I will start a thread I am going to see it this afternoon, I haven't seen it yet 😂 I still have the screen trim if you want to try that? Just let me know your address and I will send it over  might be worth a try?
I was going to ask what you had used, I have just bought a cup, unfortunately not looking as good as yours at the minute but finger's crossed one day
