And you both had exactly the same tyres, same pressures, and you and the other driver are identical twins who have reaction times within milliseconds of each other, right?
No? Oh well. They're close enough that the driver/launch would make the difference tbh, but the RX-8 is the faster car all...
Probably not at the speeds you'll need to get them into their stride :D
Best pads we've ever had on the buggy - and we tried a few - so I don't mind recommending them, they've been stonking.
Did I mention they work great from cold and will even cope with going through puddles of water, mud, gravel, sheepshit, etc, and still bite down hard straight after?
Soon sort your edge out, get XP16's.
They're usually a chunk more than DS2500's or similar but they're a huge step up, stonking pads, only thing we ever use in the racer now. (Well, use XP10* in the rear, but still carbotech).
They tend to outlast most cheap pads by a hell of a margin so it more than makes up for the extra money...
This, most people are far harder on the brakes when they're learning, they brake earlier, for longer, and scrub off more speed, all 3 of which are more punishing to be brake system than a late, short, hard braking action is.
Thanks!
Yes, looks pretty tidy, actually, I think that looks better than the standard one :D
Might not after chopping the front bumper to stop it hitting the floor though, have to have a bit of head scratching on that yet.
Did think about a V6 (albeit a Nissan 3.7, don't rate the Clio V6...
It won't be whilst the beginning of next year, just getting idea's and components together at the minute for the planning stages.
While I'm at it, anyone point me to any nice threads on hopped up Megane engines/reliability, planning on using standard block, DTA(or perhaps one of Matts)...
Thanks.
Looks like the wheels/tyres will go in without the bodywork looking chopped to death/s**te anyway, just need to sort out something with the front bumper to stop it getting ripped off.
