and me :)
My first time. Looking forward to it. In Pistonheads campsite. Got some cool stuff booked for me and James like a Helicopter ride where they pick up the lead car and follow around the track for a lap. Got Start/finish grandstand seats and some else where on some corner section so...
Mintex F4r absolutely superb pad. Easily the best I've used on Clio.
Yes, looking forward to getting the Alcons on. James picking them up today for me and fitting next week. TOTAL waste of money. I was drunk last night and standing next to the two Clios feeling out blinged. Wallet came out lol
Did it feel like warped? it wasnt the disc :( its build up of pad material.
Sonny, Wilwoods on mine, but I know of people with issues on std cailpers. sounds like Mark123 above is another.
I'm upgrading mine to the spunky Alcons that James has for no other reason than I have bling brake...
I bet you will quickly get a feeling like you have warped your discs with these pads. Dont panic... it isnt the discs. Its the pads. They leave build up on the discs.
I binned two sets of discs before realising its the pads that were a problem. I wouldn't use these pads again because of this...
With the correct oil the Gripper isnt loud or clunky at all. Its totally normal really. Mines driven to Ring 5 times, done loads of road miles. No problem at all.
Less than 172bhp! or maybe just over.
What ever happens you are going to spend money and be dissapointed. If you want a fun car that handles great on track and road? then you have the right one.
If you want a car thats fast in straight line or has big bhp figures to boast about down the...
Good news Ian!
I'd be going for that Girdle that Ashfords recommend if I was you as its a competition car... and also that you have spent so much on it already BUT mainly because the cost of your events is so high in terms of effort and time.
only coz I was sulking at the time... wish I had kinda gone for it now as you persuaded me to spunk all that money on gear thingy, fanimold and exhaust very easily last week
Tell me about it! foooooooooooooking things!
Sorry to hear about engine Ian. :( lost 3 myself the same way.... once my own fault with an over rev
Well done on the high postion you were running before the incident
yep. he sold it. IIRC Harry sold it for £300k more than what he bought it for..... which is about what I have spent on my fking Clio!
Cool video depite the wrong info. Great to see him apperciate the Clio. :)
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
Hi Tony, all good thanks.
Gutted I cant make Mallory as I am at Ring for DN9, would love to have come and seen all you guys and James race.
Sonny, cups almost back on road actually. Got really excited yesterday actually and bought some more stuff for it...
Put the money in the bank for when something breaks or wears out or spend it on trackdays or something else. Spending it on Clio is total and utter waste of money in my opinion. They are great little cars as standard.
It really doesnt. I bet the difference would be almost nothing or the Clio actually more economical...
NOTHING wrong with wanting a new car at all though and I dont think you have bought the wrong car at all!!!!
it sounds perfect for what you want :) and wheels apart I like the look of them...
good luck, good progress so far. wheels and inlet look great!
As someone else mentioned, I dont rate the t1rs as on track. federal rsr's are same price and far far better option.
