Toying with the idea of one of these for my daily 4 mile work drive and abit of weekend fun. Reviews are so indifferent though. I liked my EP3 but they abit long in the tooth now. Issues aside would you recommend?

Did quite a few hundred miles in a mates a couple of years back. His was circa 400bhp and it was a right laugh to drive, and seriously quick once moving. Will 1000% own a green one when I can afford a garage queen. Only downside is the theft aspect.

Same engine as mine. Perfectly acceptable for what it is. Mine averages 50. 60 on a long run. You can’t get the auto in the 125ps variant only the 150.

M140i is definitely my next car. As always with BMW, the facelift just instantly makes the pre-facelift completely undesirable. Looks well in black though.

I think most logical people would let the car be repaired in whatever way Ford see fit and proper to cure the issue. Anyone who would walk into a dealership and say, ‘I don’t wan’t a recall fix, I want a brand new engine’ is a bit of a tw*t imo.

Just to update this, the car has dissapeared without a trace. Not even a word off the police since it was reported. I suspect it was taken for parts but I suppose I’ll never know. Settled with my insurance for £5000 which considering I paid £3500 for it is a decent outcome.

I’ve got a Leon FR technology on order. It was before the car got nicked hence why it was up for sale. Changed my job and need something economical/motorway friendly. I think the Civic will be my last foray into older cars for a while.

It was insured for £3500 as thats what I paid. On AT/PH it is probably a 4k car, which i think is why so many people wanted it. I certainly can’t get Premier Edition on 84,000 miles for 3500 from what I can see so I just hope they play ball.

Was up for sale. No viewing but one potential (seemed genuine) buyer had my postcode. Nicked without the keys, i think it got picked up onto a low loader if i’m honest.

So the car got nicked a week ago sunday, not heard a thing since. When I initially phoned the police their response was, ‘if it turns up we will let you know’. So yeah, i guess it’s goodbye lol.

Yeah there are no toys on it, but overall it feels much more like a ‘car’ than a 1*2 does. Not a single squeek or rattle from the interior which is amazing for its age really. Gearbox really is a gem though. Steering hasn’t bothered me either as such although i’m yet to really drive it at 10...

I agree. It doesn’t feel all that fast to me tbh, although it does feel like it gets into abit of its stride in 3rd, by which time your doing 80 so is abit pointless. Granted i knew of the lack of torque, but its really difficult to drive quickly unless your on an empty b road.
