mondeo and escort lower rad hoses modified and joined together -
fitted and also piped the 15mm tee up to the heter matrix, ive blanke4d off the thermostat bypass hose -
escort top rad hose with built in fan switch, chopped down to size and fitted -

Bled the brakes yesturday, did them in the correct order... was LOADS of air in the offside rear, no air at all in the nearside rear, loads in the offside front and loads in the nearside front. Yet to test them because i planned to test the brakes whilst getting the car upto temp to bleed...

Purchased a Brand new Saxo VTS radiator off ebay last night, they are 35mm wider than the mk3 zetec rad, same height and same core and have a built in header tank which is the main reason ive gone for a VTS rad
with the lower rad hose outlet on the side on of the rad on the VTS rad and not on...
got a call at 11am today 'down 15bhp than before' , turned out the cam timing was farrrr to advanced...
so i left it with him to work his majic, went to collect it at 5pm, was just expecting 165-170bhp as i thought he was just gonna time the cams upto standard and thats aorund the power they...

it seemed to be better and started easy, but when i came to drive it on tuesday night it took ages to start, it feels slower and the induction noise is so much different to how it was so the map must be quite a way out so...

looking and sounding mint, think the exhaust looks quite sleeper-ish just peaking under the bumper, id leave it like that
head bolts torqued then angle tighetend, cams in, cam carriers torqued up as to haynes manual too... advanced the cams slightly :P..
ARPs fitted -
ARP bolt on the left -

torqued up to 34nm as to ARP website
then sump, exhaust, starter and alternator back on... oil in and 5l of...
Picked up the ARPs up on way home from work yesturday the nipped to Shawspeed to collect the Genuine Ford head bolts and head gasket, because i asked Jon to get me a Blacktop gasket he asked for a ST170 gasket, which is not quite as thin as a normal 2.0l Blacktop but still 28thou thinner...

Earlier i attached the garden hose to the hot tap and blasted the head all before for a good 5 mins, then flushed out the heater matix for another good 5 mins to make sure all the **** was out.
Then fitted the bodies and cam belt tensioner, and put all the tappets back in in...
New head bolts ordered so picking them up along with the gasket from Shawspeed on Thursday now, will fit the head friday after work if i can borrow f0xy's torque wrench.
once its all back togther it'll have had new/replaced -
-Skimmed Cylinder head by 6 thou,
-Blacktop Steel Multilayer...
yeh better engines but alot more expensive and ALOT more to get one fit one into a mk1/2 fiesta, hence why only one person has done it so far lol
Just about made it in time to pick the head up before after work then got caught in mega traffic on way back from there, had 6 thou skimmed off...
Just dropped the head off the head off at a Engineering place nearby and ive asked them to just do a light skim of 5-6thou, picking that back up tmoz.
Also just removed the starter motor and loosened all the sump bolts ready for the sump to be removed when i get the ARP rod bolts.
yeh we'll see, and i don't fancy removing the valves lol
and when me and andy fit the ARP's ill ask andy to bring his snap-on spy camera thing and we'll have a look at what we can, oil pump etc...
