sunday run out to the west of scotland

@steven.tul.197 - did you start off at the Shegra end? If you squint hard enough - you can just make out our Clios in the picture... :)

    Engine bay and parts cleaner?

I've always wanted to respray the engine bay of mine if the lump was dropped out. Maybe I'm just a little weird in that respect - but there must be a lot of crap in certain areas of that bay after fourteen years....

    [Next Gen/PC] GTA V

The bane of the superior input method! :) The problem with cross platform games is that they are invariably engineered to accommodate pad controls - to comply with the masses and all that. As such, elements like yoke inputs for flying and subtle changes in direction for a cars' steering are...

sunday run out to the west of scotland

Epic, epic roads up there. Did you end up anywhere near Applecross @steven.tul.197 ? Probably my favourite overall picture from being up there - just such an enjoyable drive where you can push both yourself and the car without fear of side-swiping oncoming traffic...

M6 northbound, Saturday afternoon (9th Feb) - black track 1*2 on a trailer

We drove past it on the inside lane - the Clio sat on a trailer facing backwards. No headlight units in it, but it clearly had a cage inside. Pretty sure it was a 172, due to the door badging, though I didn't see the rear.

I'll give it until Easter before Colin has a 182 on the way..... :P

Excel help - ideally before I resort to Hulk Smash and murder...

That cracked it - thanks! I may have been complicating things slightly be referring to columns on other sheets, but I just copied that across to the main data sheet. Regardless - done!

Excel help - ideally before I resort to Hulk Smash and murder...

First off - MASSIVE kudos to those poor victims of modern society who sit in Excel on a daily basis. I think I would prefer to chew on house-bricks than to spend any length of time trying to work out and at least begin to comprehend the logic used in formulas. I'm pretty sure that there's a...

    197 Turbo

I'd HAVE to got for a spoiler on these - the rear just looks too fat and bland without one!

    Remap Complete on the mk1

Looks great! Superb power-to-weight on that. Aren't standard 182's around 148lb/ft as a comparison?

    Back in a ph1

FFS - cheeky b******s. I guess it could have been worse and they might have hit the front and creased that cherished aluminium bonnet. Would that dent be viable to be 'popped out'?

    Replacement sound system

    @Cue @iMZee - is this the ST005 stalk adapter that you're referring to? https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctsrn005-renault-clio-laguna-megane-modus-scenic-twingo-stalk-control-adaptor.html Cheers, D.

Thanks @Cue - what's the ISO female DD you mention? Sorry, I hardly know anything about this kind of kit.

    Replacement sound system

@Goodj - I'm a total novice with stereo kit. Would the likes of that Pioneer you mention literally swapout with the cables that are currently connected on the Cabasse Audiotorium? I'd be keen on getting DAB on it as well, so I'd assume I'd need that additional aerial lead mentioned on that...

When a car blocks your drive way.

Probably a simple case of not having the slightest clue about the dimensions of their car and spatial awareness of the QE2. I'll put money on the driver being 'one of those' who brakes whenever a car comes the other way. I just wish I had a Mad Max vehicle that I could ram the trundling cretins...

    SSD

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go for a clean reformat. If you open a command prompt (Windows key + R and then type cmd) - and run the systeminfo command - it will show you the Original Install Date of the OS. My work's PC is currently reporting 23rd June 2017 and I'll be switching to...

    Sniper Elite 4

Does that comes with the DLC as well Chris - like the Hitler assassination, etc? I really liked that one as there's about half-a-dozen ways to bump him off - all with their own achievement. Some are fairly easy - like his inspection of the submarine pen, where you shoot out one of the...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

There's definitely a one-off episode on Netflix due, that will summarise the trials and tribulations of Andy and a certain off-red Clio. There's a strange and weird side of me that doesn't want to see this car finished. Almost like standing back and admiring those ceiling paintings on Venetian...

    PS4 Memory Upgrade

Assuming there are no OS/file structure limitations about sticking a new drive into a PS4, as I don't have one - I would definitely recommend going down the SSD route. I would rather have a 480GB SSD fitted than a 2TB SATA fitted to any gaming device. Tried the swap back about two years ago for...

Engine light on following bumper removal/replacement for Xenon ballast change?

I definitely did something to my CC when I swapped the xenon bulbs out recently. The CC is more 'clicky' in sound than it was before.

    Just joined

Haha! I was thinking whether or not you were one of the 'select' people who at one time owned a Punto GT, perhaps? There's a few of us on here - but we're very thin on the ground - almost on par with the same likelihood of seeing one in decent condition on the road!

By the way - what does the 'GT' in your forum name refer to? :)

UK Clio Cup to end after 2019

While I'm no fan of Minis - it's good to see that there will be some correlation between the cars prowess on the road and those on the track. It's pretty obvious that the majority of sales are marketing driven - an association with the badge rather than anything to do with the car itself. Get...

    Fortnite

I think that's the bane of most online, PvP games. It's very difficult to get that balance for those who like to bob in every now and then for an hour at weekend, to those who are semi-serious and like to play the game well - ultimately going up to the clan level/competition. Getting the game to...

    Adaptronic 420d ecu

Few do these days - but the adapters aren't expensive - assuming it's DB9 serial? Probably a lot cheaper on eBay too.... https://www.pcworldbusiness.co.uk/buy-rent/P238560P?cidp=Froogle&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1NbhBRCBARIsAKOTmUsRTvDSFUeZQMhqMVmCwZEHHzOa0A9vBoOnGsd8d9riIi1P5TCTbncaAkHMEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
