Wow, impressive pics from the G3! Good site too, very helpful thanks! 100-300 is out oof budget and although the 45-200 gets some bad press, I have seen some superb pics from it on talk photography and Flickr.
Do you find the m43 tricky for moving subjects? What's the CAF like as was tempted to try the G3 for some show jumping.
Was looking at the G3 with 14-42 and 45-200, combined size was pretty small and would be easy to chuck in a pancake lens too.
Just seen the G5 but actually don't like it as...
I have used both the Panasonic GX1 and G3. There is not muh difference in IQ, but much prefer the G3 as I liked having the flip screen and a view finder. The 100-300mm lens is madness! Its not that big and 600mm reach is superb!
So Canon is finally joining the mirrorless party - all be it a bit late!

Bit on the fence about this one. Yes it is all metal, can use any lens (with an adaptor) and has the same sensor...
That's not quite the case IMO. HTC/Samsung (although this case is nothing against HTC!) do indeed produce many different models each year, but half the time they have the same specs in different form factors.
Apple will develop phones at the same rate as anyone else, but just choose to showcase...
£500 will get you a 3200 with 18-55 lens. Cheaper if you dont mind going grey import on ebay.
GX1 is a great camera, get it with the non powerzoom 14-42 IMO as the powerzoom is rubbish at the long end.
I'm sort of swaying the 2 lens route, as ultimatley, although the 18-200 is great all round lens, I can't help feel that I will be missing out on a bit of sharpness. Decision time this weekend. Probably change my mind 10 time over by then.
I need to free up some funds and my lens are all in a bit of an overlapping muddle so some need to go!
Firstly, my 50mm f1.4 is staying put - can't be without a 50!!
Next comes the choice!
18-200 VR MKII - great lens for doing a bit of everything, surprisingly sharp for a superzoom.

Think I will Mark. I pay £10 a month and have unlimited data. Will the sale of my 4S that will probably be 50% plus of the new one paid for. However, I might not like the 5 and keep my 4S!
Went for a quick break to the New Forest and only had the PZ 14-42mm lens with me so was quite restricted on zoomage!!
Anyone considering this lens, I would say forget it. Yes its compact and great size for travelling, but its quite awkard in use and the quality of photos are pretty poor...
O2 (so GiffGafff which I am on) has one of the worst 3G speeds I have had on a mobile. Sadly three have much faster 3G singnal at both my home and work so might have to join the dark side. Still, £15 a month for all you can eat data not too bad on a rolling contract.
Know a lot of people who...
Long exposure is fine for non moving objects. For anything handheld your going to have to raise the ISO and shoot at fairly quick shutter speeds to avoid any blur.
Has the camera got full manual controls? You can then experiment with a mixture of ISO, shutter speed and aperture to get the best...
Dark Night app is quite cool!
Augmented soundtrack - works quite well!
Stick tennis/cricket and flick football.
Bbc Olympic app is good, live videos etc
I love Digital Rev reviews - that guy cracks me up sometimes! Especially when you see him falling over, getting run in to and generally walking around taking photos without a care in the world!
