I know, the car alone on reno site is 15995 :D I went into Bolton and told them what David had offered and he said straight away that there was no chance he could match it. The wait will potentially kill me and I'll live in the car for atleast a week...
Racing Blue, 197 ff with recaro's, white speedlines and xenon lights. I have to wait until around the 18th March so by March I'll be a complete mess I'll be so excited lol :D
If you're looking for a 197 in the NW I reccomend speaking to David Cooper at arnold clarke in Warrington, top bloke and...
I have a daily driver and a weekend car, maintaining the weekend car when running a daily driver can be difficult and because of the weekend car I'm starting to get bored of the daily driver, with this in mind I'd say pay for the 197/225 and if you still feel you want/need a project car get a...
Re: My mk1 track car blog
I've just read this from start to finish, good project mate I like it. I hope there will be some vids of it when you have it running ;)
I'll be there bright and early again lol, last time I think I was on the stand at about 7.30ish as I found the nice quiet side entrance that I hope is still nice and quiet this year :)
theres an audio shop round the corner from my house and I know them pretty well so I just took it there. have a look in yellow pages for a local audio shop and take it down.
dont worry about it mate, I'm still learning stuff so I ask questions just to the audio shop around the corner lol. The deadening was £30 each for the doors and I think it was between £90-£120 to get the rear of the car done and that was using ivanhoe stuff.
Yeah I got a fair bit of sound deadening in lol. I had the front doors, rear quarters, boot floor and boot lid all sound deadened.
I'm not 100% sure what relevance the ohms has to the sub, I had both a 2 ohm sub and a 4 ohm sub on my old amp and it didn't make any difference tbh. The amp that...
I loved having my angel eyes... also thank f*ck audi have made them LED lights, they'll soon be the chav flavour making angel eyes slightly more socially acceptable ;)
The D4 is 4 Ohm, the D2 is 2Ohm. The amp will give more power in 2Ohm mode so I would recommend the 2Ohm sub, as from personal experience it wont make any real difference to the sound. The speakers are the same speakers I had in my clio and they sound amazing, well worth the money.
Ok no problems, if you can stretch to £450 with that sub. I would go with:
Pheonix Gold Components:

And either of these amps look up to the job:

hmmm, they are underpowering you're sub and speakers by a lot. What is you're absolute maximum budget on everything, eg how much do you want to spend on sub, speakers, amp?
the amp you chose was a mono amp, so only meant to power the sub however its pretty much spot on for the sub you picked, so I just looked afor a seperate amp to power the fronts. If you only want 1 amp in the car you need to look at a 4 channel amp. If you'd like I can have a look around but I...
Re: NATIONAL CLIOSPORT MEET IDEAS?
If we do what Baggins is suggesting it will cover all bases. It has the oppertunity to be a huge thing as FCS normally has a huge CS turnout, there are many pubs and clubs nearby so we can have a night out and we can also sing and dance around a camp fire...
Would be my choice, coaxials basically suck compared to components, please please please amp the front speakers too trust me you would regret not doing it when you turn up the volume and blow the fronts ;) If this is within you're budget that should be a pretty sweet setup for you.
