downgrade things. Sell un-necessary parts to raise the cash for the parts you need to finish it. Get it running in a much simpler but ultimately effective guise
I've not finished calibrating to give accurate numbers with confidence to be honest. In the region of 195bhp and 160lb/ft though. Dan's going to take it to FMS at some point
Superchips as a company are just very lazy. They have the ability to do more than pretty much anyone else with standard ECUs, but they just don't and do next to nothing with their remaps
I saw one recently that was using a massive amount of oil. 2 litres in 500 miles. When I got it apart, 2 of the stem seals were loose, with the tension springs round them that hold the seal having popped off. The valve guides were also heavily worn on 8 valves.
I came to the conclusion to take...
I smell bullshit
I've seen stem seals cause heavy oil consumption, but I doubt it's your problem.
Even if it does need doing, £600 is too cheap for the labour and parts to do the job properly (full cambelt kit, aux belt kit and head gasket set is ~£300-£350) so they are cutting corners...
I tried it and had the exact same issue. I never bothered to try Mapp gas but they sell it in B&Q, although it's twice the price of propane/butane canisters
I had a look at the Sony Vaio Duo 11 and it's really nice. Probably just as bulky as the labtop he currently has though. I wouldn't personally bother with an RT machine at the price they're at.
Surface Pro when it comes out is probably the one to go for
Asus Taichi keeps having release delayed...
