I ran a Hillpower before the Simota and I find they are both the same power wise but the Simota sounds better.

Hi, I own one of these and they are fantastic and yes you can connect a HDD to the USB and use that for tunes.

Simota CF Aeroform is very loud and looks good too.

Hi, I have a Simota AI and before that I had a Hillpower, I find the Simota is just as good as the Hillpower with the extra noise you get from the Simota. There is nothing to choose between them throttle response wise. Andy

Not used Rentech but I use Ktec and found them to be very good.
