i spoke to the garage again tonight and he said that the belt had probably been stripped of some teeth and not actually snapped, either way im going to sell the car as i dont have the time to break the car down to sell for parts or wait to have it fixed. oh.....and i cant face seeing her on my...

the mechanics best guess is that it is the cambelt. doh!!!!!!

i will have my local garage pick it up on monday and i will re-post then. thanks peeps.

Thanks for your reply, are you on about the belt on the left hand side of the engine that i can see? if so then yes it looks fine. was it expensive to repair your valve problem??

Hi all. Took the car out for a drive and on the way home it died, rattled from the engine and sounded like stuff was hitting the underside of the car, had to coast it to a near by car park (a pub fortunately). when i tried to start it up again it just made a wereing sound. any ideas??? :cry:

hi please help!!!:mad: im trying to get my passenger side bulb out, i have taken the rubber cover off, unplugged and twisted off the block from the bulb, how the hell does the actual bulb come out?? is there a clip etc that i cant see??????
