Ah feck. I blame the multi-tasking of working/looking after kids/booking trackdays/buying clios.
Just come along anyways? Can always offer some instruction to @Cookie ... will be quite easy tbh ... "just go faster terry" ... :ROFLMAO:
Haha, it was your build threads that convinced me to buy a 197 instead of a 200, oh and this being a bargain with the Recaros/Speedlines 😝
That is useful to know - saw some mention of slam panels or something as well, but headlights/bumper and some hammering/cutting of trim is ok.
I had similar...
Now picked it up.
To be honest, most of my thoughts from the 1st post are still true, although the steering now i'm used to the X5 seems far more direct/feelsome than when i was used to the Trophy/e46 M3 - i guess your opinion on a new car very much depends on what you are used to/coming from...
So i booked a trackday on 14th November at Brands with @Cookie @TheEvilGiraffe and @Sir Nancy Flowers and naturally man maths kicked in.
Cheaper to buy a clio, then sell it, than buy brembos calipers/pads/discs/remap for the Mini ... so enter 197 Cup v2.
Pick it up on Thursday.
Chuffed...
Being that no one else has mentioned it, i will. Have you had any tuition?
Being honest, a clio with 888's, coilovers and rear ARB set up correctly for a neutral to rear led bias, ie softer front, stiffer rear, more camber front, less camber rear, should not be understeering anywhere on track...
Create a login for erWin and its all on there: https://erwin.seat.com/erwin/showDSP.do
Might need a company name/email for it to work - ive got Audi/VW logins, but not Seat, otherwise i'd just pull it for you myself.
When i was looking at them earlier on in the the year, the Golf R estates have a MUCH better residual on them, which is useful for finance/PCP etc.
£20k Golf R estate had a £10k residual at 4 years, Leon was £6k.
Used to love FRST's!! First forum i used was fiestaturbo.com as it happens, before the french love kicked in with my 106 gti ...
Car looks fanflippingtastic as always @MarcB
So as has been said by many already, thanks for the admins/mods for putting on a great event.
Like most, i came alone and was concerned that i'd wander around by myself, being fairly socially awkward as normal.
Thankfully after about 5 minutes of being there, i met @JB21 (mainly as i'd...
My Clubbie looked immaculate on Tuesday evening after i cleaned it, did all the black plastics, dressed the tyres, etc etc etc. Rare for me to clean anything.
Then redrow decided they needed to cut about a million bricks 15 foot away from my drive. Cant be bothered to do it again lol.
Just done mine.
Very good wording throughout!
Loved the "the rules are this", then following it up with "for all you other f*cking muppets, this means ... "
:ROFLMAO: (y)
I'm currently looking at coilovers, brakes & remaps for the Clubman.
In reality, i will do nothing, because i have spent all my money putting fuel in the M3 🤣
Trying to clear out my garage a bit, so quite a few odd & sods that need to go (y)

Looking at the graphs, your "150-160bhp" is at the wheels, they are then using a 25bhp transmission loss to calculate flywheel figures.
So before the work, when it was "knackered" it had 175-185bhp at the fly, which is probably 25-35bhp to high, depending on how f*cked it was.
You're now at...
But most people fit 2118's, which weigh more than a small elephant 🤣
I had 16" Rota R Spec on my R53, 6.5kgs each vs 15" 2118's at 9kgs iirc.
Most people fit 15's as the tyres are cheaper imho.
Saw them the other day, pretty easy to redye the leather to black!!
I'd be buying them personally, would look epic in this ... far better value than the ones with the knackered bolster for £1600...
I got the previous version of this a couple of years ago: https://www.printerland.co.uk/product/epson-workforce-pro-wf-3820dwf/149147
Works very well, just use non-genuine ink, it dries out quite quickly as i dont use it that much and the Epsom stuff is £££££'s
I do have banner thing i could put in front of the Mini if you want.
Hopefully i wouldnt just get people like @Skintnancy asking if i can finance their track afternoon
