No, it meant it was a loss due to the repairs being expensive compared to the cost of the car.
Given that there are circa 3-500 172/182's for sale at the moment, i really can't see why you'd pick a cat D. Do not buy a 182 with £1700, it'll be a f**king pup.
Awesome mate. Colour you going for? There aren't many cars out there that sound better!
I got speaking to a guy in a wheel chair that had one (altered to be controlled by hand) and it was absolutely amazing, i didn't think there were better sounding cars than the b7 RS4 :o
Yes but they still carry a 45k car running costs - more infact now that their getting on, as you're aware. I'm also sure i read that some are now showing signs of HG failure. Vanos unit to watch for aswell etc.
I didn't mean it was to be bought and its life spent as a garage queen. I meant I think there is more capable out there if you're that way inclined. I love the V6 Clio, I just don't see it as a track car.
Welcome along mate, I had a GTi/VTS years ago as well, seems to be the natural progression.
As per your budget, for £5000, you're aswell to buy a Trophy. The standard brakes are ample enough and the Sach's suspension set up is a good starting point.
