Either drill it out, or just replace the caliper.
For the sake of £20 for a second hand caliper, i'd just get another one.
TBH, the best way to loosen these nipples is with a small impact gun..
We've never bothered as you get plenty a good enough view from the banks/just walking around the track.
On the main straight and coming down through Dunlop curves etc i'm sure you'll see the cars for longer up in the stands etc, but the view isn't bad from the side of the track..
Get it on a ramp, visually inspect the bushes.
Use a bar or something to see if you can feel excess play anywhere.
If you still can't find it, replace the cheapest thing first and work up that way.
In the unlikely event TDF do offer any sort of compensation/offer to fix it, it's going to be a gesture of goodwill thing.
How do TDF know that Ktec haven't tried to push it too far on the rollerz?
I know i wouldn't be paying out for that one in their circumstances.
LOL at a GTi-6 and a 306 Rallye being circa ten places apart.
TBH, i bet most people voting have never even seen an Delta on the roads, let alone driven one!
Bingo!
Looks like Fred/Danny's careers are safe for a while yet, lol.
That'd get a big fat 'Are you on crack?' from me should i be asked to sign that off, lol. Imagine if they have a recall/run of warranty changes on anything like that. ££££££ gone.
Jack up. Take wheel off. Take pic.
Then we'll all be able to tell you. x
(I'd be amazed if it was much trickier a job than anything other French car I've worked on. Worst case I bet is that you have to undo the hub nut etc and take the whole assembly out, a la 106 etc.)
You can't tell if a dephaser is knackered until the engine is warm.
You'll get what can only be described as a rattle on idle that disappears when you blip the throttle.
Most 1*2's are a bit ticky IMO..
