Carbon cannister is over that side of the engine bay (behind the wheel arch), could be piping for that.
The fuel feed line is also, but you'd porbably have noticed if it was that.
Nip both up. Neither need to be mega tight, just tight enough that they're not going to spin off.
Either way, the weight of the car holds it all together anyway.
If it still happens with clutch down and it's related to the gearbox then it's the diff.
Stick a standard air box and wheel arch liner back in to diagnose properly.
If it's not loud enough to be definitive then it's not worth worrying about
