Plenty of great info on here about track day prepared cars and getting into racing. They sometimes come up for sale which may be more cost effective but by looks of kit car presuming you enjoy building the cars yourself

Says the cambelt has been done, just check it's been done by someone reputable or how knows theses cars as plenty have been done wrong
Find a Renault circa 1997-2003 with a 1.6 16V or bigger engine at a breakers and you should be good mate. MK1 Laguna, MK1 Megane, MK1 Scenic etc
