So anyway - the Cup failed its MOT and needed a few things so ordered stuff online and it arrived yesterday, thankfully i've been offered a ramp to do the work on!
I've bought original oem Pagid discs and pads for the cup. They already have the bearings pressed into the discs, however there is an abs ring to the back of the disc.
Will i need to take the ring off (by heat gun) or can i just leave it on? I.e will it foul anything obviously as the Cup...
In the grand scheme of things insurance is mostly the thing that kills F4R ownership - running them is generally cheap. If you buy smart.
Buying one thats had the necessary work done will save you hassle i'd say. Consumables are so widely available means they don't cost all that much to run...
I think the reason the 197/200's mpg is slated is because its so closley compared to the 1*2's which are unbelievable in terms of performance per mpg!
In all honesty i bet its not that bad - just don't go from a 172 to a 200 and you'll be fine lol.
