Rang the company handling the claim today and they said they have given the garage the go ahead to repair the car, which is good news! But I have just bought another car today so the clio will be up for sale when I get it back!!
What kind of money do you think ill be offered if it is written off? Looking on autotrader there's only 8 for sale, the cheapest trade is £1895 with 83,000 miles on, the cheapest private is £2500, with only 51,000 on but its a year older than mine. Am I not supposed to be offered a price that...
My car was parked outside my house last week and was reversed into by someone visiting a neighbour! The drivers door was all smashed in and it wouldn't open, the sill had a few small marks and the mirror had a mark on it. The lady who hit it accepted full responsibility and we both rang our...
Hello, failed my mot Friday due to the rear load sensor being seized, so i need to free it off.
That bolt at the bottom, does that need removing to free it off as that looks like its holding the arm on?
Does it pivot off those 2 pins at the sides and how much should it move once free?
Thanks!!
No they don't have the rod or spring. I just want to know if it matters that is has been tie wrapped up and has kind of seized in that position. It does move abit though if I try to move it.
Track rod end is sorted now. I've been under car and the rear load sensor has been tie wrapped up and is held in place there, it has a little bit of movement but not a lot. The garage I took it to are saying i need to get a rod and spring fitted, they didn't say anything about the tie wrap.
So this is the part in the pics? Does that look how it is supposed to look? I know its a bit rusty. You can see the metal tie wrap that the garage put on last year when my Dad got it MOT'd. The garage I took it to this year in Leeds are saying that its seized? What has seized exactly? The only...
I just want to make sure that the bit that they failed on my car is definitely supposed to pass as I don't want to go through all that to then find out that there is something wrong with it! Can I upload some pictures tomorrow? Could I get ainleys to ring renault or the dvla who will already...
As far as I know nothing else is wrong with the car or surely they would have picked up on this? It also failed on a near side track rod end ball joint but that was sorted by the garage next to ainleys today. How should I approach them? Shall I not mention someone on the cliosport forum...
Haha no idea how I managed to shorten what you said in that quote! How come Renault made the car this way? Why doesn't it need the part when the other models do? (I assume other models do)
When my dad had It they said he needed a new part but ended up fiddling with it and tie wrapping it, they never mentioned anything about fitting an arm. If they shouldn't of tie wrapped it then how else could they of sorted it? Or was there never anything to sort? I am looking at the correct...
So what part has he failed for it being seized? It failed on low effort last year when my dad was the owner but the garage tie wrapped it to help it pass?
Sorry you must all get this question asked so much! I've done my research but just want to make sure i know for sure.
So the garage failed my 172 cup because of my rear brake load sensing valve seized [3 . 6 . E . 3]
So i took it to the garage next door and they had it up on the ramps and said...
