Here’s a picture of one of my old beams with sensors still in place. Might help you a bit. NSR (left) two male pins and the shorter of the two. OSR (right) female plug and much longer.
I’ve restored 3 Clio Sport 182s FF with ESP and replaced rear ABS sensors on every car. They’re a fortune but the only ones I’ve used are those on the K Tec racing site - https://k-tecracing.com/products/oe-spec-clio-2-rs-abs-sensors
I know there are some cheaper alternatives but I stick with...
Time to tackle the melted exhaust trims.
And remove the melted plastic off the exhaust tips.
A bit of Acetone, a thumb nail and some Autosol did the trick.
Got a length of plastic trim lok from my mates at CMRacing and cut a piece 27cm in length.
It’s virtually the same width as...
I think that looks quite nice.
In terms of nomenclature, it makes sense to launch a newer version of the old model as it's less confusing for buyers.
Look at Peugeot with the 107 which was just a newer version of the 106. Then after the 107 came the 108, again a newer version of the 107 and so...
If you're thinning on top and going for a full-face helmet, invest in a Balaclava.
1. In case you set on fire (joking)
2. It'll soak up the sweat
3. Stop the helmet from rubbing on your napper and making it very sore.
If it’s the same car, my mate had it as part of a buy out and I put Max in touch with him. Max said he wanted to buy it back. I think I know you from British 24 hour days. I used to sponsor a few teams under SG Petch. Teesside Tigers, Fury and also some EKl teams. You were driving for Kartforce...
That made me think of when I supplied a bloke from Scotland with a Daihatsu YRV which was sourced from Ireland.
The full detail is a little fuzzy but I remember him kicking off because Daihatsu UK refused him a warranty claim. They said his warranty started from the date of manufacture, and...
Crikey that takes me back.
Didn't this all kick off when the media were campaigning for car prices in the UK to be more in line with Europe?
I remember the job being on its arse, so we all started flogging parallel imports. Mazda's in particular.
God's own county. Me and the missus often take the Richmond > Hawes > Kendal route, before heading north through the Lakes to Penrith and back home along the A66. Might have to make a few diversions by the sounds of things.
Forgot to update the stud nut kit, supplied by @FrogJam Motorsport. I went for 68mm as they’re ideal for cars running no spacers and TD Pro Race alloys. They’ll also allow me to run my standard Cup alloys with the centre caps on.
Cheers. I’ve got a few choices when it comes to wheels. I’ll be using the TDs for circuit but probably go back to my Turinis for road use.
This was a picture of the car when I put the AST’s on the front. I’ll get some proper pictures when I get it all set up, but these are straight out of the...
Small updates.
Bought a new exhaust flange off @16v_paddy then took it to my local exhaust centre (Sadler's garage in Darlington).
I was more excited about this job than pretty much all my other work. I’ve seen so many cars going home early on trackdays, that I’d be an idiot not to do mine...
Currently, I'll have to get 11k for mine to get a ROI. And I'm still spending on it 💰
🤦♂️
I'm just going to drive and enjoy mine when the sun's shining. Somebody can take it off my hands when/if I'm finally done with it.
I've thrown more money away on R's, N's, GTi's, tbh
There are still too many 1*2's on the road in poor condition. Once these vehicles are either written off, converted into track cars, or broken down, the number of cars in good condition will naturally decrease. As a result, the lower mileage cars will become more valuable and command higher...
I considered ringing a few Simon, but the guy was so bloody nice and professional I just handed him my card :ROFLMAO:
Peter was his name.
My last 2 182's have been with Greenlight. The lad I normally deal with wasn't there. I didn't like their attitude.
