Honestly I’ve gone from having no wi-fi connectivity upstairs, a buffering TV in the dining room, to full connection all around the house.
A techie at work tried to explain what it does, something to do with wi-fi 6, but it’s the best money I’ve spent.
I’ve bought the 3-pack - Amazon eero 6+...
I was on their 320 GB deal (Hub 3), which was garbage. I quickly realised their hubs are dogshit. My son has the 1TB set up and he said he's lucky if he gets half that.
So I downgraded to the 100MB package (Hub 3), then paid a few hundred quid for 3 x Eero 6 + and built a mesh network. Put the...
My Hub 3 has a permanent red light on as it’s been switched to modem mode. I run the Eero 6 mesh network so the hub 3 is now just a bridge.
You could check if it’s gone into Modem Mode by following these instructions.
A nice day to give the RB a quick check over, assisted by my grand-daughter, before storing her away for winter.
It’s been good to stick a few miles on her and enjoy over the summer, but a new company car means she’ll not see the roads again until spring.
Hopefully, the last few weekends on the house build, then I can start being a car enthusiast again. I've never done a single race meet this year either.
That's good to know fella. He was a Hyundai techie many years ago and very good at what he did. Thank you for the feedback, it's going in at the end of this month.
I've got two and the quality is top-notch. The only issue I've had is with one of the rubber mounts that, as stated above, is replaceable with an Audi mount.
Aye just up the road in Barney. They did my race car engine and did a cracking job, but I’m looking to have the car back after a few days, not a few months.
I was talking to a techie at our place yesterday and he mentioned Andy Harland (Renault Specialist) in Darlington. Andy worked for us many...
I'm after a decent set of Ferodo pads or similar for my Clio 182 road car. Currently on Brembo (stock equivalent) but they're dangerous when they get wet.
I've only used race/track-orientated stuff before like CL6, DS1.1 and Pagid RS42's so not sure what good road-going pads are like. I'm not...
Gutted for you lads but love seeing the car evolving. On a similar note, Cameron managed 2 laps at Donny with his new engine 🙈 The kids had no luck at all this season.
Amazingly, the old cow passed her test yesterday so I guess I'm keeping her on the road this winter and not flogging her. The only advisory was a tiny bit of corrosion on the NSF brake line, so that's a pretty easy job to sort. Makes a change from oil leaks, but getting the engine and box out...
Those look ace 👍 I remember switching from AD08r to PS3’s and couldn’t believe how smooth and well behaved the car was. It used to try and kill me before.
My BG is on 140,000 miles now, is used daily 365 days of the year and is as good as my 80,000 RB.
As above, condition, service history and corrosion are priorities over miles. £3,000 - £3,500 if it's a nice car.
Not worth buying if it's rough as lots of parts are now NLA and good quality...
PMS are amazing. I have one on my daily with Sports Cat and also had one on the track car. My only criticism is the rubber hanger bushes (an AUDI part) are pants.
I'd second that for Eero. I installed 3 Pro plus boxes, but in reality, I only use one.
I've gone from not being able to get a signal through a plasterboard wall in the next room, to now being able to pick it up 100 feet away at the bottom of the garden.
It's like somebody has multiplied my...
My EML light has just come on tonight on the way home and my canister is still intact.
Need to dig a bit deeper unless somebody knows what’s happening.
My son's on a TB with VM and is lucky if he gets half that. I had the 350 broadband but binned it after my contract ended. I couldn't get a signal through a plasterboard wall FFS.
Went for 100 mb and there's no noticeable difference except i'm paying £60 less a month for it.
Binning the TIVO...
Lovely, like a sewing machine. And yes, clutches should be really light on these. In fact, properly looked after ones are really quiet and boring really. Nice job!
Apologise for giving the wrong info yesterday I said 35psi when it was actually 32 psi.
This is from Yokohama themselves.
"If suspension is adjustable front and rear, then no need to run higher pressure in rear tyres , Maybe try a bit more in the front – 32 psi [2.2 bar] hot, bit less in the...
