Rear bumper removed
Passenger door lock removed
And the front bumper all split
The front grill clip has snapped on the top. Never noticed it before. Am contemplating getting a new grill as this one has been sprayed. TBF its held up well and...
Thank you all for the positive comments. Its always nice to read kind words ?
@mintno1 Im planning on it being ready for CSF, so 3rd week of august/leading up to the august bank holiday.
Thanks mate.
I contacted him twice via and it seems to fall down. He was waiting on some but never heard back.
I love his work and would rather go to him over royal wheels. If he has, then I'll drop him another message.
?
One the car has been painted, we'll defo do it again ?
When the time comes I think I may enter a few on here. I think the diamond line-up could be a good contender.
Haha, glad you like the idea. Suits the mk2s perfectly.
Thanks mate. However the mk4 is a pretty car and I have been...
Thanks mate. Should be good when done!
Thanks mate. Not bad for home made and I really like the 3/4 size. I did use sappy water but there are some air bubbles still but it's ok unless really up close.
You know what, it's decent body work for it's age and mileage (128k) but I have the...
Pretty much tom.
All outside panels. Not bothered about door shuts as it's all clean in there.
Doors, bonnet and boot will be removed. Rear bumper is good as it was painted the other month. Not painting the roof and some things I'll just polish up, such as the rain drips.
For ages, ive had some stickers made from @LeeRS as i wanted to do a Renault sport plate, but in 3/4 size so i can swap when i take pics.
I got a standard plate and cut it down to size, then added a white strip and cut it to size, then place the renault sport on top. I had bought the genuine...
Met up with @Ricardos @Sash and @.Joe to go to a couple of local spots down Richards way for a few pics and also for a catch up and some chips and ice cream on the southend sea front. Here are the snaps of the car shots.
As always, comments and criticism welcome.
Mega.
Looks such a awesome car and well specced.
Never really liked the CAF headlight personally as I felt it looked out of place on yours but looks so much better and cleaner with the standards back in.
I know you was on about various colours Steve! It was you that inspired me to give mine a touch up!
I know mate. I'm guessing it be after CSF now as I plan to start stripping it this week. We are away in Portugal end of Sept so maybe we can aim for being of Sept or beginning of August?
I say...
Same bud.
I try and do as much as I can myself, or at least give it a go. Don't like handing my car over to a garage really. Always sceptical they make up a issue, don't treat the car with respect and charge over the odds for the work.
Obviously I will take it there for things I can't do or...
Thanks bud.
What I meant was, I gave it a oil service of engine oil and filter and new gearbox oil. All fluids checked and all is good so no need to change anything else really.
Plugs and other bits was changed on the last service 6 or so months ago.
Unfortunately not mate. I'm driving my friend with he's freshly repainted R26 for paint protection film in Cambridge. I would have otherwise.
Turnout looks decent too.
Not done a great deal apart from take a few (many) pics! Did a service so the maintenance is still being well kept.
Heres a few shots ive taken:
Bought a new powerflex mount for the ktec exhaust hanger as the standard one was a bit perished and made the system sag a tad.
My...
