I'll check that out.
The base needs to be very specific too because of the unit it's going on. I looked at one Sony and even with the feet being in the middle, when angled as it would need to be, the feet are over the edge. I could get them literally on the edge but with a 5 year and 3 month...
I’ve got a 5 year old Samsung non 4K (wasn’t a new model when I bought it though) and it’s proper laggy if I’m not using Sky but I use it for RedBull TV. We lose picture often (flickering on and off) on a few hdmi sockets so an upgrade is due (especially now I have a PS5)
There's always this one which is cheaper than all of the above. HDMI 2.1 and has decent reviews from what I can see.

Might be the one I have to go for due to size restrictions. Can't justify £1500 on...
There's a fair bit of room behind it so hopefully it should be ok. Literally the only place it can go unless I get one of those wrap around holders and bolt it to the wall which I don't fancy doing.
Think the controllers will get grubby a bit. Going to look at getting a skin for it. I've seen a few silicone ones on Amazon I might get.
It's a nice home screen. Takes a bit of getting used to though as to where things are.
I managed to get home from work after watching the yodel van on live tracking. He sat in the street behind for a good then minutes, I was refreshing it and expecting it to come up as signed for.
Turned out he'd missed a delivery so had to go back. Handed me mine, in one piece. Said I wasn't the...
I wasn't going to get one but I had a stock alert come though and thought I'd chance it. Told my mate about it in work but he left it. He's gutted now he can't get one.
I think most of my mates are just going to wait until it dies down and get one after Christmas.
I've got two LAN cables coming from the router to two powerline adaptors (in the dining room)
I've then got the two recieving adaptors in the lounge with a LAN cable in each, one going to the PS4, the other to the SKY box. Both TP Link ones I think without checking.
I thought you had to have...
Cheers lads. That’s the box I was on about. I can run everything off one LAN then and maybe use the other plug to get internet to the summerhouse (if it’ll work)
I’ll probably upgrade the router at some point but I’ve heard nightmares of using sky broadband on a non sky router. Probably fixes...
Thought I'd chuck this in here instead of making a new thread.
Currently using powerline adaptors. My router (sky) in the dining room only has 2 Lan ports. I've got both of those running to two plugs in the lounge. I've got the Sky and PS4 plugged in to those.
I'm getting a PS5 and a new TV...
Can you travel at 54.3mph in the middle lane whilst overtaking the other HGV's doing 54.1mph?
I downloaded farming simulator the other day on PS+ thinking it would be ok for my 5 year old to play. It's ridiculous and I deleted it after struggling on for an hour.
Right. This it turning to be a pain in the arse. Max 50" because of the unit it's sitting on and the stand has to be a certain type so that discounts quite a few. Even with the narrow feet, the Sony one is mm's away from the edge of the unit (having it on an angle so others can see the TV)...
Ah ok. Wasn't aware of that. Thought there was some elements of the game on the disk as when I first installed it I could play campaign immediately while I waited for the MP to update.
How is that any different to the games now though? I think COD is 200+ on the PS4. I'm sure mine is 170+ without the co-op downloads. That's with a disk too.
Same.
I'll probably get AC Valhalla. I'm going to Sainsbury's tomorrow to see if they have the cross gen version of Cold War because they are doubling up the nectar points. If they have it, it'll "cost" me £30-35 of points that have been sitting in my account for years. Don't think they will...
I've just been looking at the Sony. I've seen that you can change the stand from outside to inside of the TV. I'll have to double check the size of the TV and see if it fits. Don't want it hanging over the unit with 2 kids in the house.
I thought Sony would bring an update to support 2.1 if they...
Yeah it's out of budget unfortunately. Ridiculous that it's £200 more than the 55" 😂
I'm speaking to a manager of Curry's tomorrow (one of the parents at school) so I'll see what he can get it down to.
I'll have a read of the link you posted. I'd seen that Samsung in a list of top next gen...
