I used to get 300-350 to a tank in the 182.
The R32 on the other hand averaged 8.9mpg on the way to work this morning as I just sat in a traffic jam for an hour.
Nope, which I why I didn't make my comment specific to clio's ;)
I owned a 182 Trophy with a hydraulic rack, & a 197 Cup with an electric rack at the same time. I sold the 197 after 3 weeks.
Its not pointlessly insulting at all, you currently have an epic spec 172 cup, on utterly sh1t tyres...
Well I am impressed then, if only as you are the only person in the known universe to prefer the feel of electric steering over hydraulic. Please buy some decent tyres before you waste any more money on this car though btw.
Changing the rack wont give it additional grip though Phil, it will simply affect the way the car turns the wheels.
Unless of course the rack added the additional toe & camber to the front end? Which I don't think it did, did it.
Its goes around corners better because you have added more toe out on the front, & extra camber on the front/rear.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the rack, & probably nothing to do with the coilover change either.
Ha ha, i was gonna do the hobo hybrid airbox as well, but by the time uve bought the filter its £50.
My Dave F was only £80, & i dont have to butcher my standard airbox lid - for when invariably, i get bored of it in 3 months and to put it back to standard lol.
For reference, my R32's paddles are on the steering wheel and they are a total pain in the ar5e.
Although not as irritating as pushing the gearstick forwards to go up a gear, backwards to go down - WTF is that all about?
lol its a cup. No extra downforce from the spoiler though.
No Recaros either, so the driver must have slid off the seat as he entered the corner, subsequently losing control of the car.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Little update.
Sold the coilovers as its scrapes all the way to work as it is, & well, I couldn't be bothered to fit them. Also JDM yo wheels have gone as I wasn't so sure on them, simply not OEM enough for me these days. Finally bought some new gloss black mirror caps...
By the time Renault get their finger out & advertise what the PCP's on the 200 will be, everyone will have bought Fiesta ST's lol. Quite possibly the most inept launch of a new car ever?
The cr4p brochure, the dealers not knowing anything, the lack of proper reviews, all useless.
In an ideal world, you'd want the engine that the manifold was built for I guess, but cant imagine that being cheap lol.
Big spec cams, bodies, etc would be ok though I assume.
Bar the ///M's, that is quite possibly the nicest Z4 ive seen.
Seats are stunning, colour is lovely, wheels are great, & its a facelift.
Excellent choice!!
Don't worry, it did a few donuts at Le Mans and was fine lol. Its ok though, I warmed it up 1st :o
320d's are very similar to M3's actually, you spend 99% of your time in them thinking that you just heard something that 'could be the end' for your wallet. Most of the time its nothing to worry...
Not the biggest fan of the wheels, but do like the car!
I also spent way too much time in that area of Cheltenham as a student. Frog & Fiddle, then to KFC. Winning.
Proper Rangie - cool in a 'gentleman' kind of way. Still quite 'old money'.
Rangie Sport, or the 'WayneRover' - driven by townies, wags & c*nts.
Rangie Evoque - for poorer versions of the above, more girly. Like a big Mini Countryman.
From my understanding, its quite simple:
If you remove the airbags, you have to have buckets/harnesses/cage - to pass under the 'track car' rules.
But if you have a 'track car' it'll have a de-cat, & it'll be a friendly MOT anyways lol.
